If you have a very high quirk and very little of its counterpart, you could repeatedly use the high quirk then increase it again through a quirk polisher. Though that either costs a fair amount of echoes each time or requires a trip to a menace area for the exotica.

Note that the Ambition option on the Noman card gives only 1 change point of Noman Knows, while the quirk-eating options give 2 change points (except Hedonist, I think). I tend to use the quirk-eaters until I get up to about Noman Knows 10-12 and then only use the Ambition option until the end, just to be on the safe side.

with how much their Noman's Friend decreases with each Time the Healer? We don't have too much information on the range. Even if the number you got was within the range, that's great! Don't worry, we can use that to help find what the range might be!

The info on noman friend loss should go on the time the healer page, not the noman page linked above. But you are right, more data is always useful. Also note the date. The range for noman friend loss changes drastically from month to month.

NOTE: Including the date you got Time, the Healer would also be incredibly useful!

Or the Time the Healer page:

I felt the Noman's page would be more pertinent. Or, for. Whoever knows what reason.

I had Time the Healer today and did not lose _any_ Noman's Friend. I had been kicking myself for making a Noman under a day before my first TtH, so I'm kind of relieved, but not sure what that means for overall mechanics.

Since now that Hunting Dangerous Prey are already Airs related (hence farming Subtle isn't not predictable anymore), may I ask what storylets can we reliably grind for quirks?

Picking sapphires at Empire Adornments gives 1 CP Melancholy at the cost of 75 Cryptic Clues.
Nursing someone back to health gives you some Magnanimous. I'm not sure how much, it seems to vary a bit...

I'm repeatedly "changing" my philosophy to the Implacable Method for Subtle gains. My Spirifer is probably the best off, however - you can turn in Heartless for Noman Knows, so you get a profitable grind while you're raising your Noman.

Since the changes to the Zee, I've found that seal-hunting has a decent echo return: a round trip to get a Plated Seal in my Zee-Clipper seems to average around 17 turns, plus 8 to breed it, for a return of about 34 on the Seal plus whatever you gained at Zee, which is typically around 3 for me (with no piracy, at that) but the average is probably higher due to Primaeval Hints from rare successes on launch.

Point is, my handwavy estimate is around 1.6 echoes/action, and you also get card options that significantly increase Steadfast/Heartless and Magnanimous/Ruthless. And your deck is refilled upon return.

If you're in the right place in the Dangerous tracker (or can get there), the "Third Coil" is supremely profitable.

Since The Implacable Method is only available once, do you mean this way? That way would cost 3-6 actions (three to change it and three to change it back if it were already that) plus all resources/other quirks changed buy such setups. Am I missing anything or is this just done for expedience that way if not that style already?

You can pick that option even if you're already associated with the Implacable Method, which is why change is in quotes there. My Forceful is already 0 and I have more than enough resources to keep that going until the Noman hits 15 so it's pretty convenient for me personally.
