Anyone else tired of getting screwed by the RNG? I just spent an hour carefully planning venderbight into all my runs, only to have the Genial magician kill himself before I got a serpent image. There should be another way...

There is - take a sack of coffee beans to Irem and you can trade it for a honey-dream and find the Serpent Image there.
