I've been grinding up Adrift on a Sea of Misery for a while; I haven't found a consistent way to increase it apart from giving Glim to the Soft-Hearted Widow, so I just make it a point to play that card whenever I draw it. Current value is 716.

I suddenly feel very compelled to advance my Adrift on a Sea of Misery quality. Just to serve as a reminder to others that London is a miserable place and when I bring about the LON and construct my own empire it will be heaven compared to this wretched dump.
I now see that this has been someone else's goal for quite some time. Well, since they have a (gigantic) head start on me I'll have to think of another goal in order to be unique.

I just did a manual count of my social actions contacts list and I have 1918 contacts. That's more than there are years in Fallen London. I should probably wait until I hit an even 2000 before celebrating, but honestly I will probably have surpassed that goal before I think to count them again.

Recently I've been making a mad dash for extra Noman's Friend with the help of people like Parelle, Gonen (via their alt Lady Ella), metasynthie, and Madman Across the Water. After having some restored by the Failbetter staff and downing 2 Tears of the Bazaar that I've recently come into possession of, my Noman's Friend is now lying at...420. I feel as though this is the point where which I'm suppose to make a joke, and the ten-year-old inside me is trying their hardest to resist doing so.
