Seeing that the Heptagoat is basically the pinnacle of all things seven (that we've seen to date) I'm more inclined to think that finding The Name will eventually require sacrificing one to the Well.

Not that it necessarily proves anything, but I'm pretty sure the marker for Paramount Presence has been around for longer than the Heptagoat has been "among us".

That was my thought too, although it occurs that the other specialisms are achieved in the relevant quality-specific areas, rather than on that card. Definitely worth a look, but its absence wouldn't be fatal to the idea that N15, capped stats and all specialist items are the PP requirements...

If the people with epic amounts of resources / items / qualities haven't found this thing yet, it's either not in the game yet, or it's hidden somewhere so obscure and requires such onerous conditions as to be basically impossible to achieve for the average player. The first of which just makes me tired, the second just makes me angry.

After pondering the arrangement of the options on the "An unsigned message" opportunity card for a while, the thought occurred to me that perhaps this quality will have something to do with the Laocoönian profession in the future.
Of course, given the story of Laocoön himself, that'd make the term "A Paramount Presence" perhaps slightly unnerving, in the context of Said Unsigned Message's Obvious Author. In a bit of a [The Content-on-Hiatus-Which-Must-Not-Be-Named] way. :|

As was noted during the search for the Heptagoat, when Eaten does not exist, it becomes necessary for players to invent Him.

Fallen London is a game of mysteries, and as you can see here and in the posts about the heptagoat, there is a group of extremely dedicated player who are willing to spend months looking for the solution of such a mystery, and Fallen London is made as to cater to very different styles of play. I think having some "special achievements" like these that are extremely hard to unlock is important to keep these players happy. And I find I enjoy my game very much as a less dedicated player who is not looking for these things. It doesn't hurt me that there are there for other players to look for, and I enjoy watching from the sidelines. If everything was achieveable by the average player, all the players that are more dedicated than average would get bored!

I got shadowy up to 200, notability up to 15 and all my connection qualities, barring masters, up to 50. Haven't seen anything yet.
Make that Watchful and Shadowy at 200, Masters to 7, Glass to 20, Bohemian and Society to 100+ and Church and Constables to 200+ and all others at 50+. Then I have the four NPC acquaintances up to 5+ and Influence to 70.
I still don't see any options, but given paramount's meaning is first in importance or highest in jurisdiction, connections still seems like a good route to take. I could see the governorship of the Carnelian Coast also applying given the highest in jurisdiction usage.

I just wish we could get a yes/no answer on whether it was fully implemented in game. Its fun to experiment, but if it isn't even possible to get the result, then it is pretty pointless.

I have all stats capped at 200 now but have not chosen a specialization. I arranged to purchase a vial of a certain sanguine liquid, so I'm working on raising my Notability back up to 15, raising 11 connections up to 100 and connected: masters to 10 (that's the max right?)

11 is the highest you can get it using Mr Pages' card. After that you need to use other sources, and those are either Fate-locked or holiday related.
