unexpectedly large stat jumps?

I am slowly running an alt to experience all the new low-level stuff and whatnot, and as a result I actually _don't_ want big stat jumps, because then storylets lock on me (yes, I know about talkative rats, but that's not always optimal).
Troubled by Vermin turns out to boost one's Dangerous by about 13 levels. Is there anything else that will do that, so I can explore all the other storylets available to me at that level before I conclude it?
