Sending Nex to friends

First off, I am sorry I am unsure if this is the right place to post this question.
The in-game help says to look at the Lodgings to send Nex to friends, but there is no clear way to do this or description which outlines this. Could anyone please provide instructions on how to go about doing this?

When you send Nex it becomes Fate that can only be spent in Fallen London and you have to send 100 Fate at a time. There are three methods
Go into the Write Letters Storylet in your lodgings and choose the 1 Fate/Nex A Present for a Friend option. This force draws the Give a Gift card which allows you to send 100 Fate.
If you are an Exceptional Friend you can also go to the House of Chimes and have a word with Mr Chimes which has an option to send 100 Fate
Or you can just wait for the Give a Gift Card to turn up
