So, the new amazing updates are pretty much Sackmas come early. Big thank you.

Just two little things:
First, my Nephrite Quarter is for some reason broken beyond the good old exit and reload fix. Anyone with the same issue?

Secondly, it appears one can capture ships again and send them to the Mourn for money but I'm still shooting them to pieces wheather I use flensing or cannons. Any ideas?

The legacies are really great - a lot more fun than the old model.

So far my feedback would just be, heh, echoing the same things from Carnelian: resolving the problem of Monster battles to avoid the boring "reverse and fire" routine, and rebalancing the trade routes so you'll actually want to try and find a new profitable route every time there's a map shift instead of just finding where the Salt Lions are and heading there as soon as you are able.

oh, and a general rebalancing of the ships - been discussed before, but atm the one only really viable course is steamer -> cruiser -> frigate/dreadnaught; the corvette/cutter aren't optimal to any profitable build, and the yacht, while boasting decent stats, isn't so good as to justify the time and resource investment from a purely technical point of view.

Me too. I've send a bug report for Nephrite Quarter and other minor things.

Does anyone have find a way to capture ships?

How exactly neutral ships work?

There is a bit of a problem in the spawning programing in that the crabs and pirate ships near London spawn like crazy, and the neutral ships are spawning in little packs that slow down my computer. The ships of the game also appear to have some really strong engines, as they regularly cut across land. But I like everything else!

Neutral ships still seem really buggy. About half of them seem to be invisible most of the time, and they often seem to jump and teleport around. Most annoyingly though, I can't seem to see any easy way to tell them from aggressive ships without selecting them in battle mode. Even then if they're approaching from the north you can't see the identification until they're close enough to attack you since the name of the ship is listed above the ship itself.
Also, what happened to sending pirate ships back home with a skeleton crew? Loot and scuttle seems to be the only option now.

Sapphire is finally available on Humble Bundle - really looking forward to seeing the changes smile

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Could you report any issues with neutral vessels to sunlesssea@failbettergames.com? We've seen some comments about clustered spawning and amphibious behaviour here and on the Steam forums, but those aren't reflected in our support system yet -- unless some come through, this will be difficult for us to fix.

I don't think I have seen anything buggy with neutral vessels yet, except if you click on them they seem to Turbo-boost halfway across the map. I just put that down to them running away from a potential battle though smile

Has Wind Come A Calling disappeared completely from the shops in London though? If so I will miss it.

Really liked the fact that your child can be adopted, my captain isn't the sort to actually have a child of their own and for my past legacies I have thought that the heir is a niece (or nephew) who has listened to their aunt's (or uncle's) stories and followed them to Zea. I just need to grow this one up and then I'll try the new legacy system.

Live on HumbleBundle now.

First feedback/Q: the Venturer (who now appears! - thank you) does NOT accept Approved Romantic Literature. Is this intended, or a bug? [If the former, (i) argh and (ii) guess what I am tossing overboard? smile]

I've seen tons of buggy behavior from the AI ships.

Ships popping into game well beyond the edge of the screen (so like, right next to me.)

Spawned ships being invisible except for their wake and smoke trail. Sometimes their ship graphic eventually pops in, sometimes it doesn't.

Ships getting stuck in terrain.

Ships teleporting across the zee, so fast that their incredibly long wake looks like a torpedo trail.

Ships warping through solid landmasses and objects, in conjuction with what's described above.

AI ships and enemy ships getting stuck on each other. Looks a bit like they're cuddling actually.

Ah. I've 'seen' the invisibility bug, but only with critters (Morays and Basking Sharks) rather than ships. It's quite eerie when it's critters so I'd assumed it was intentional - 'We can't see her any more Cap'n! She's gone deep! She's - she's - she's right under us! AAAAARRGGGH' - sort of thing.

And watching 2 enemy ships nestling up to a buoy warmed the cockles of my cold, damp, barnacle-laden heart.

Well as this is the Sapphire up-date so I suppose it is not too surprising that I just found my first Casket of Sapphires after killing a beastie smile Now all I need to do is remember which shops/locations actually want them.

I have only seen monsters be invisible, and agree it seemed intentional - they dive - but the teleporting AI ships (only the neutral ones?) are REALLY bizarre. In the same boat - sorry! - also on having just found my first sapphires; neat.

Found two places that will buy Sapphires
Polythreme and The Cheonate. The Chelonate will give a few echoes more but I suppose it depends on whether it is worth the extra fuel needed to get to the far East of the map
