since there is no rule thread here (as far as I can see) I was wondering what kind of topics we are supposed/allowed to post here. In-game inquiries? Technical questions? Discussions about the lore? Trade threads?

Pending a response from someone actually employed by Failbetter... I'd say all of the above. It's early days for Sunless Sea, and this forum will do for lore and mechanics and tech questions and such! Remember to tag your spoilers, and submit your bug reports to sunlesssea@failbettergames.com.
