Notability and marriage

So question, if you are not currently PoSI and you marry a player with one of the "you will gain a point of notability" marriages, do you actually get the point of notability, and if so how exactly does that work? (I'd assume if that's the case you wouldn't get most of the benefits and you wouldn't be able to actually raise it again, so)

I think you get the point, but you can't really do anything with it anyway.

Well you could still hold on to it and use it to get started and summon the Amanueusis once you do get PoSI.
