As you probably know, today the bats took our city again. Not to the Surface, unfortunately, but to a place called "StoryNexus".
Sadly, I was out of town when it happened and when I got back it was already gone. May you tell me how to get there back please? Don't get em wrong, the Neath is a nice place, but I do quite miss the company of my fellow Londoners.
Now, without roleplaying - Today Fallen London was moved to http://fallenlondon.storynexus.com
But I can't get to this site. After writing the URL and pressing enter I get the message "Oops! Google Chrome could not find fallenlondon.storynexus.com". It doesn't work with Internet Explorer as well. I wouldn't have been worried if I had known everyone has this problem. But I just saw a comment of someone who can access this site easily...
So what am I doing wrong? Please help me. edited by Voodoo Master on 8/24/2012

I was able to get into the site this morning for my first 10 actions of the day, but when I returned later, I was redirected and got the error message. Most likely, we'll just need to wait until the new DNS listings propagate across the Intarwebs.

On the orange bar, it is to show that Fallen London is now part of the StoryNexus, a game-creating tool that Failbetter themselves has developed. (For discussing Story Nexus, post at http://community.failbettergames.com/forum17-storynexus.aspx)
You might also see that the Nex currency is also used, which is mentioned at http://community.failbettergames.com/topic893-fate-and-nex.aspx.
I also got this bug you got, but it has since resolved for me. If you check again if you're unable to load the website, I suggest you send them a bug report. It can't hurt, at the very least =).
Edit: There is also an explanation over at http://community.failbettergames.com/topic910-fallen-londons-new-hat.aspx edited by Aximillio on 8/24/2012

The w's weren't there in the old URL.

I would hope both versions will work, once the various ISPs around the globe can accurately map the new subdomain to a DNS entry or three.

I had trouble at first but then got in fine, hopefully time will sort it out for you.
But the aesthetic change is ghastly. Couldn't something have been designed to work well with StoryNexus and not clash so dreadfully w/ Fallen London?
Seriously, the eye-assaulting orange ruins the Fallen London aesthetic, imo.

Thank you. When I used a link in StoryNexus' homepage I got there with no problems. But now even that stopped working... I think I'll wait a few days before reporting it though. They're probably aware of this bug.

The kink takes me to the site, but clicking on anything in there sadly causes the game to not load.
Also, that orange banner is simply asking to be feed to the Cantigaster. edited by MaskedGentleman on 8/24/2012

Sadly I can not log in, though I did do some actions earlier today. I do believe that the culprit is total and absolute absence of any code to actually log you in via facebook, despite the facebook login image still being there.
Edit: And it's down again. Hopefully, there fixing the facebook login. ReEdit: Nope. edited by Abraham Bounty on 8/24/2012

Additionally rumour has it that the lion's share of those souls was from a theft of The Brass Embasy itself. We are quite certain that this portents nothing ominous for him. Well, nothing unusually ominous anyway.

Facebook login is working for me. Could you try shutting down and restarting your browser, and if that doesn't work could you send a bug report?

By a fortunate, for a given value of fortunate, coincidence my browser crashed and I had to reload it anyway, and now it's working.

I have the same problem. Although I'm sure Failbetter already is aware of this problem, has anybody actually submitted a bug report yet?

I'm afraid I still have problems on my computer after restarting the browser (Chrome). It worked briefly for a minute or two there (before I restarted) but now it's all lost again.
Strangly enough my phone seems to of had little problem during most of the entire day of getting to FL (Android 4.0).

Yes. Rebooted my browser, tried it on a different one, it does not seem to want to exist.

Just tried a cache clear and that seemed to work - can you try that?

Gah it seems you all beat me to it while I had a power outage. Yes clear cache worked for me so far.
About time I did a clear cache anyway.. my poor computer was moaning from all the junk it was lugging around.
