Losing (and hopefully regaining) acquaintances?

I have done an ill-advised thing and lost the acquaintance of the Sardonic Music-Hall singer.  Can it be regained? If it matters, I got her opportunity card through the Persuasive increase, not through a storyline.

You'll have to wait for the persuasive card to regain her. The storylines would also work, if you haven't outlevelled them.
