Yep, I also chose to save the Outcast - and likewise, even with a dreadnaught I would have been tossing stuff overboard with abandon!

The only thing that has stopped me from looking into the new content is the fact that the Brisk Campaigner is still dead the moment I leave London. I am just sick of auto-reloading in my mad dash to make it anywhere before she croaks on my ship. I had hoped to have word back from the developers on this subject matter, because quite frankly a patch that outright kills one of my favorite officers gets a negative mark in my books. My game has been going for a while and I have accrued a massive amount of recorded passing time quality, so I can only assume that this is the cause of my problems.

Would someone be so kind as to remind me of what the Principles' quest items are? I've handed over the Wakeful Idol, the Heartmetal Ingot, the Stygian Ivory, and the Fluke Core so far, but dashed if I can remember what the remaining items are, and there doesn't seem to be a way to find that information in-game.

... and of course I find the answer right after posting *sigh*. FYI the remaining item is a "Little Flint" (an Ambiguous Eolith, maybe?) and the list can be found in-game under "Accomplishments" in your journal.

What's the description or the image on the last item? I've done it, but I can't quite remember. Hopefully it'll jog my memory and I can give you a hand.
Maybe it was a horsehead amulet? Or I may be imagining things.

Thanks for the info on the Campaigner, SpaceMarine. *sigh* I guess she'll just have to go. I'm not starting a whole new Captain, it's taken me too long to scrape together what I have with this one. Tempted to hold off playing a while longer just in case some sort of fix for this happens though. It kind of stinks that it's tied in to that quality.

It's sad, but I figured I'd be starting new captains as progressive updates change the early-mid game anyhow. I'd kind of earmarked Steel as one such trigger, so any fartling around with my existing games doesn't, so to speak, count!

I don't know if it has been reported here but the scintallack trade option at Varchas (the City of Mirrors) is broken. No matter how many times I trade the stuff I never lose one and so get a free 200 Echoes instead. Thankfully this option is restricted to one's limited stay in the city otherwise my ship would have sunk at zee with the weight of so much money.

Mmm. I can't figure out how to get the last Princple Item... now i know that Stygian Ivory could be obtained by Albino Moray, but haven't had any luck until now... which is the other trivial alternative? I thought of devil dice , but i was wrong...

Scintillack is nice but I already have plenty of money and not enough space for the final reward, so it comes down to Outcast vs double-upgraded Idol. Does the Idol do anything worth having, so far?
