So, uh, sort of silly question...

It says that you do it by raising a stat to 100, then awaiting the ambitious barrister. I've had 2 stats at 100 for quite a while now, and don't seem to have seen anything.

Is there another requirement? Is ambitious barrister an opportunity card, or do I have to go find it? I feel like I'm missing something...

Thanks, everyone :-)

It is a card, with a variant on "A Coincidence" as the title, one for each stat above 100. You shoul dbe able to force her hand by talking to one of your contacts at your Lodgings tied to a stat you have above qoo. (Coalman for Dangerous, Urchin for Shadowy, Vicar for Watchful, Sculptress for Persuasive.)

I'm sorry, but due to policy clarifications, I will no longer be giving detailed mechanics advice on the forums.

You don't need a Favourable Circumstance. Go to your Lodgings, click the Local Gossip storylet, and then move on from there.

I'm still not seeing anything :-( The action that says will let you draw an opportunity card is in 'Write Letters' and all of them need Favourable Circumstances. Local Gossip storylets have various other things, some of which are locked for having to be a POSI only. I'm confused...

If the choice to start the PoSI stuff isn't visible under the neighbor's sub-page, you probably started it already (check for "A person of some little consequence" under Progress on your character sheet).

If the neighbors (eg "Speak to the Clay Coalman..." there's four) are not visible on the gossip's page, you need to do their quest chain (there's one in each of the four starting areas). They should be fairly trivial if you have 100 in that stat.
