Shroud and Glass

Right now I'm a little confused. I decided to play both sides, then when I got the choice I picked doing the Grand Illusion before the Seance.
Now I've completed the Illusion, but I can't do a Seance.
I have Connected: Glass 20, Connected: Shroud 6, and Embroiled in the Wars of Illusion: 25
Am I just not able to do a Seance now, or did I miss something?

Yeah, if you pick to perform one, you're unable to do the performance for the other side. After all, if you do an illusion, you've shown yourself to be pretty firmly on the side of the Glass. I did the same thing, only reverse and lost connected: glass because of it.

Well, that would make sense, except for the text on the friday option for mahogany hall, which seems to say you could do both:
You will need Connected: Glass (or Glass and Shroud both) at 6 or more and Embroiled in the Wars of Illusion at 20 or more to participate in your own show. Otherwise you'll see someone else's. If you're about to hold a grand séance, you must do that first.
