I've got a problem (I think it was after I hit a card that I recall having the word "clone" on it) where I get the "Loading" text and then hang (freeze there, not browser hang). Can someone unstick or reset me?
Edit: My character name and email are upthread. edited by James Yakura on 8/28/2012

@James: you've hit the serious bug we were talking about before.
The relevant problem cards were quarantined early this morning. In the meantime: welcome to the party! All of our dev accounts are stuck at Loading... too. I'll add your name to the list of folks who need a fix. Thanks for the report.

I'd be happy to help playtest, email is Curtis-reubens@hotmail.co.uk. Haven't got an Iced Oolong character yet (and if you're planning to wipe all characters then it'd probably be better to wait until the wipe to create one), but character name will be Blue Haired Meerkat.

I'd like to playtest too! Haven't yet had a chance to play the game at all, so I don't have a character name, but it looks interesting from the forum discussions and screenshots.
If it matters, my character name (well, account name) will be Kaesa when I get around to it (although like Mr. Reubens below, I'd prefer not to create a character only to have my progress wiped). My email address is department.of.mysteries@gmail.com. Thanks!

Kaesa: great timing! I just emailed out the closed beta invites. I'll add you to our list. No more wipes going forward -- the PC-pocalypse has come and gone. Thanks for asking!
Curtis: you're good to go. Check your email!

Oops, I got overly excited and only read as far as the link to the game apparently. Sorry about that. edited by Katbeth86 on 8/28/2012

Noticed something on playing the inital storylet, there was a blank bar with the text "beta banner image" in it, is there anything that can be done about it or is that a problem on the storynexus end?
EDIT: It only seems to be on that one particular storylet, in addition I may have found a typo in the bit where you first meet warren. I'll quote the relevant part. "Yes, it's a strange way to hello, and yes, you don't know him from Adam, but the man in the Stetson is about the only person in Amarillo so far who's really noticed you." I'm not certain if it's supposed to be that way or if it should read "to say Hello" Also if you make the choice to be friendly, you get " a spark o real human warmth." again not sure if it's a typo or just flavour. edited by Doomlewa on 8/29/2012 edited by Doomlewa on 8/29/2012

@Doom: I'm not exactly sure where you're seeing the blank bar, but odds are good it's one of the platform's placeholder images. If you see it again, could you screenshot so I know we're on the same page? Thanks!

Just a little thing: in 'From a Certain Perspective' it reads: "...A woman wearing an apron - it reads Butterloaf Bakery - cries: fresh hot bread from the oven! Beside him a man is banging a ladle..."
-- Always delighted to make the acquaintance of delicious friends! Profile here - battles of flora (strength), interviews (LF), gently rustling parcels etc. etc. welcome

I just finished playing through to what appears to be the first content wall. I didn't take screenshots, but I saw the betabanner_link missing image and noted the storylet names. It was on the "A Savage Land (CLICK ME!)" result, and the "Going Home" result. (Not sure if that helps.)
Other odd things: It looks like the White Noise image is meant to display in results that raise the quality, but nothing displays, just the one-pixel black border. I saw this twice, but forgot to note storylets.
"The Morning of May 21," "A Great Option," the text reads "Some some enthusiasm! The Jackrabbits have gone out of their way to help you. So what if taking their offer is your only option? It's a great option!" Possibly this should be "Show some enthusiasm"?
I'll try to remember to take screencaps next time anything looks buggy.

@Doom:
Ah ha! Yes, that's a function of the platform. FBG hasn't enabled images for Areas and Settings yet. They're supposed to be coming sometime in the middle of September.
@Corentin: I was POSITIVE something in that string would catch us up. We flip-flopped on gender for the baker a few times. Good eye!
@Kaesa: the dragon icon we use in White Noise doesn't display on the branch result screen for some reason; I've actually just posted something on the art thread about it. Good eye on the "show some enthusiasm." You're not the first person to report it, but hopefully you'll be the last. Thanks for your work!

STRUCTURED FEEDBACK QUESTIONS (although as always we're happy to hear whatever you've got to say in whatever way you want to say it):
1.) The Opening changed in a lot of small but we hope impactful ways. Did you notice any changes you liked or disliked particularly?
2.) Several players complained during the first iteration of the Opening that they felt like they ended up doing things they really wouldn't have done (e.g. drinking bad booze.) Do you feel more empowered/less disempowered by this updated Opening?
3.) What did you like best? What are you hoping will happen next, or be explored down the line -- setting, theme, character, it's all fair game.
4.) Have you seen the rabbit? Do you tremble -- with excitement? with fear?

Haven't finished just yet, but:
A Certain Kind of Rain
Eyes Wide Open White Noise You suppress a shudder burn the images into your mind.
is probably not intentional.

Nope!

It feels a little strange to be scared of bats? Presumably, though, they're not ordinary bats. Also, I think some people might prefer to roll over and go back to sleep rather than seek out gunfire. Not me!

I'd like to know what's behind the Wall! Also, what it is about those bats that makes shooting at them so important? Also, how does this town make money? (I think these are all related)

Yes. No. No. The rabbit seemed pretty nice, really.

1.Not really
2. I wasn't sure if this was intentional, or if you plan on adding this later but, even though I'm a guy(genderqueer actually, but biologically male), I found it uncomfortable that the game was assuming I was male. There wasn't any choice for male, female, androgyny, or anything in-between. (Not sure if this exactly answers your question but...*shrug*)
3. I hope that there will be many opportunities for my character to become truly unique.
4. I have seen the rabbit. I tremble with excitement for what it may bring. edited by Sarsmos on 8/29/2012
