It's on the snowbound storylet tab at your Lodgings and requires certain airs of London.

Guys, I’m at the very end of Cricket Anyone, and have no idea who to give the WORD, BROKEN to. I’m freaking out about making the right choice as I get the impression I could get that sublime sceptre if I make the right choice, but perhaps I’m wrong...

Card is non-discardable. Two options: either receive a letter (no requirements) or send a letter (requires 5 x Map-Scraps and no more than 6 Favours: The Great Game). I assume the send option gives a Favour for the cost of the map scraps
Receiving a letter gives 2 x Dubious Testimony and 1 x Intriguing Snippet.[/spoiler]
On a second attempt I got 2 x Dubious Testimony and 2 x Intriguing Snippet. So there's a range to the results.

Ι chose to keep it. And though there was a minor hit at connections with our bat overlords, I never regretted it.

Is "uncovering secrets framed in gold" a worthwhile fate expenditure? (If only to get the dang thing out of my opp deck)
Whats the story content related to/what's the rewards?

On Day 4 of Mr.Sacks card, does choosing 8-fate options gives you Dreadful Surmise in the end and if yes, is it needed to spend additional fate along the way? Is there a cheaper (fate-wise) way to acquire Dreadfull Surmise?
Thanks.

Thanks. The Docks (12 Fate) and Benthic College (8 Fate) investigations both give a Dreadful Surmise as reward. You do not need to spend additional Fate along the way.
The Benthic College Lacre investigation is the cheapest way to a Dreadful Surmise as far as I know - EXCEPT for one option during the Feast of the Rose in February, which does not cost any Fate.

I enjoyed it, but if you are going for mechanical rewards, choose the Soul Trade. Check the Fate-Locked Content thread for details, since people are more spoilerific there

It's art-related and deals with the Forger. To continue it to its conclusion, the player needs to be extremely ruthless over a lengthy period. But playing it to get rid of the card is a pretty good reason. As Jolanda says, probably more detail elswhere in the thread.

Uhm. Isn't this the Fate-Locked Content thread? Or do you just mean 'check the history'?

Apologies for the confusion, Ms Rose, I mixed my threads. Indeed you can find a lot of discussion concerning Secrets Framed in Gold, but If you don't want to go looking, here is the gist:
This was one of the first stories, and it is well-loved. It has a lot of grinding and waiting, something which newer ES avoid. However, it is nicely written and at the end, you get a hard dilemma. If you go with the "knowledge at all costs" option you will lose acquaintance: Forger (and if you want to regain him, you need to spend more Fate and go to prison); however, you open up a new Destiny, and get a very rare but profitable card only drawn at the Bazaar sidestreets. If you go for the merciful option, you don't get anything equally impressive.
If your goal is the story and the lore, go for it. There are other stories I would recommend more, but I do not regret playing it, untangling the web, getting a fuller taste of Fallen London, and of course getting rid of the cards showing up on my deck. If you are interested in Bazaar lore, the Correspondence etc, even better. edited by Jolanda Swan on 12/13/2019

On The Tower of Sun and Moon: a Reservation at the Royal Bethlehem Hotel card, there is an option "Harvest hotel" that requires Merchant of souls. What's the outcome of that option?

Two of those are second tier, the others first tier. Though 70 seems a big high.

The second option gives a Great Game favour. https://www.fallenlondon.com/profile/Den%20Blackwell/17328215 Mr Iron has a very interesting view on employee rights and the welfare of London's working class. It and Mr Fires are in good company.

Two Brilliant Souls, forty Souls, and a series of suspiciously supportive spirifage statements. It also asks after about 250 Shadowy to get 100% making it the highest recurring Shadowy check, I think, for whatever that's worth.
