Anyone else finding that the Shipyard tab doesn't seem to be working in the current build?

This happens if your save was created in an earlier build. If you start a new game, the Shipyard will work.

So does the current build invalidate previous saves if we want to use the Shipyard then? Is starting from scratch the only option here?
