I am perplexed. I have been playing for nine or ten months now and have never seen a rare pet card. For the past two months, I've been flipping cards exclusively in Spite, Veilgarden, and Ladybones Road -- and still no luck. How rare is rare? Has this happened to anyone else?

Rare means proper rare. Two months is unfortunate but not really unusual. All I can advise is: don't rely on getting one; think of it as a possible pleasant surprise if you do.

Thank you, good sir. I like your advice, which seems a wise way to approach many things in life. smile

All the world's problems can be solved by poetry. And violence. Poetry and violence. Who said, violence wasn't a solution? Actually it solves all the problems, that couldn't be solved by poetry.

I have a rubbery euphonium, and the only reason I'm keeping it is because I play the euphonium in real life, and it was too funny when I found one in-game.

one of the best and worst things about this game is...

If we where to file a bug report saying that we think the fungal pony is not showing up with the proper rarity...

We'd likely get the responce that "working as intended" even if it does not exist.

last unconfirmed sighting is the Wumpus mounted it and rode off into the Cow level.

On the other hand, if you waid such a pony was appearing far too frequently for a rare card, you would not get a working as intended.

It is just as well they are so rare I suppose. I try to avoid mysterious semi-legendary horses if I possibly can, they keep inviting me to some place called Candy Mountain...?

It has been incredibly galling that both my alts have rare pets despite me only playing them an average of one candle a week. One got a haunted-looking dog and the other the salt weasel (and that within the second day of sign up!). My main, alas, has to satisfy themself with quotidian pets obtained through extensive grinding.

Dear RNG - notwithstanding the devilbone die you sent last night, we are still at odds!

Neither I, my girlfriend, nor any of our alts have ever seen a mood card.

    Working as intended.

Maintaining a controlling interest in my soul requires a pretty constant negotiation between the various shareholder interests. Thankfully the Fingerkings 23% control makes a pretty good foil to unite the other factions enough to get to 51%.

I originally got my dog in my first week - keep in mind my deck was tiny! That I managed to get the salt weasel after selling the dog is more surprising. I've never used him though.

My wife got her Salt Weasel on her first draw from the opportunity deck. First one ever! I got mine nearly two months after I started hunting for one.

Ironically, my Seeker alt got herself a Salt Weasel without even trying (I didn't even know rare pets existed, up until now!). And now my main has been desperately flipping cards in Ladybones Road with no success. Although I'm torn between a Weasel and a Euphonium: the Weasel is more useful stat-wise, but I'm partial to all things Rubbery. Such a shame that you can't have both!

Normally, yes, you're limited to one Rare pet.

However, there are rare exceptions, as you can see on my profile :-)

(it's not reproducible - this was a result of a limited time access code a long time ago).

Lucky! Did you have the possibility to choose, or could you only have two of the same pet?

No. It was a time limited access code which gave 1 x Salt Weasel.

Had I known beforehand what it would give, I wouldn't have used it.

Ah...perhaps not quite so lucky then.
