It's too bad players can't sell their pets to each other... I would pay a lot of echoes for a Haunted-Looking Dog and a Salt Weasel! (I already have the Rubbery Euphonium)

I would like to have a Salt Weasel in addition to my Haunted-Looking Dog.

Interestingly, if you *have* the Dog, he will show up in your list of assets that you can sell at the Bazaar--apparently the going rate for one is 2 Echoes. Can anyone confirm whether the Bazaar price for selling one of the other rare pets is the same?

A Salt Weasel is 2 Echoes, 50 pence.

Oh this is that thread! I couldn't find it before.

But yes, I did sell my Haunted-looking dog, and within a few weeks' time I found a Rubbery Euphonium. So I'm pretty sure that you can only have one at a time, because I'd spent a lot more than a few weeks flipping cards while having the Dog. I've now sold by Rubbery Euphonium (all it gave is Bizarre +1!) and am on the hunt for the fabled Fungal Pony.

Social invitations of all kinds welcome, especially games of chess and deadly sparring!

Also happy to help with nightmares, send sips of Cider, and plant battle.

Thanks! So it's worth a bit more than the Haunted-Looking Dog. Interesting. Perhaps they are priced in order of rarity?

You can't put up an item that you've already sold.

Hence, having someone verify it first, then selling the pet, I imagine.

Echoing in the card also works

Problem is, I forgot to echo my Salt Weasel card (it was ages ago)... Although, I guess I could do the verification method for the first pet, and echo the cards for all subsequent ones.

So! I've put my soon-to-be-late pet on my Mantelpiece: would anyone be willing to vouch for me? Then, I'll be off to Mahogany Hall to test another weasel-related theory.

I'll vouch for you =) As for the Mahogany hall, I believe Salt Weasels don't count as weasels, but I assume you might as well check =)

Not sure, but my Rubbery Euphonium would sell for 3 Echoes if I wasn't so set on being Bizarre.

While were on the topic does anyone on the forum own the illusive fungal pony? I believe there is only one known instance of this equestrian monstrosity.

Is there even one instance of the Fungal Pony? My understanding was that it was a joke by one of the members of this forum, a play on the rising (re-)popularity of My Little Pony based on the fact that Watchmaker's Hill doesn't have a known rare pet associated with it.

It was rumored of before then. The joke was made because of Fungal Ponies. No one knows if they are true or where the myth came from.

So! Just over a month after selling off my Salt Weasel, I've made friends with a sweet, but jittery stray dog. I don't think I'll be keeping him long, though: the Euphonium awaits.

Then I must have been extremely lucky with the cards when I got my dog. It barely took a week or so, I think (?). A remarkable feat regardless =)

So, a while back I got a Maverick Bloodhound and was wondering if he was considered a rare pet or not. I don't much like him, though he does give me a decent stream of Compromising Documents.....

Nope. He's a connection pet, Rendezvous at Watchmaker's Hill. Only the Salt Weasel (Ladybones Road), Haunted Dog (Vielgarden), and Rubbery Euphonium (Spite) are rare pets, with Fungal Pony being a possible but almost unseen fourth. On a lolable note, perhaps the Connection pets replaced the supposed fungal pony for the pet of Watchmaker's Hill?

In case there was any doubt, the answer to this topic's question is Yes.

While I've assumed this for a while, I hadn't seen any conclusive proof and wanted to test this for myself.

I flipped cards in Spite until I had the card for a Rubbery Euphonium. I then kept the card in my hand and flipped cards in Ladybones until I found the card for the Salt Weasel.

I then played the card to gain the Rubbery Euphonium, at which point the 'Flash of White' card for the Salt Weasel noted that "you can't play it if Rubbery Euphonium is higher than 0".

Just in case there was any question...

Done and done! I've collected all three rare pets. The Euphonium is my last one, and the one I'll be keeping.
