Ahem. Just a warning to be careful of dining out in the gastropub from hell that is Mutton Island...

Sir, I'm afraid you must be terribly mistaken. Everybody knows they're made from zee-monsters.
Come, my hooded friends here pose no threat. They may just want to know who might have suggested such fanciful remarks.

(Drowned, to the North, or eaten, down the well? Choose wisely: ALL SHALL BE WELL.)

Might want to change the title. I admire your initiative, but you've just posted a fairly large spoiler for a game that hasn't been released yet on a public forum which has an "unread topics" section.

Actually, I was merely making an amusing - and as yet uncorroborated - observation, having partaken of the lumps in question only once. Thus I don't consider this to be a spoiler!

Erm, it would definitely count as a spoiler in Fallen London, since you do get some indications that... er, yes... well, if you don't know what I'm talking about... anyways, you really should change the title of the thread.

I don't see it as a big issue... especially because I've seen maybe only the vaguest of unlikely possibility that it's so, after I forget how many cycles in FL on Mutton Island, and I haven't seen anything new in Sunless Sea as of yet that gives me any reason to think so

Invites for social actions are most welcome, except for Boxed Cats, SMEN, and Affluent Photographer

To save time and pain, I'm going to do a voice-of-God and say, no, Rubbery Lumps are definitely not people, and any evidence in FL that they are is a red herring.

Is it even paranoia when they are really out there to get/trick you?

  • Only when accompanied by delusions of grandeur and a belief that They are more than they are, in which case it is clinical.

I take a couple of days off to torment my friend with a Call of Cthulhu adventure in London and come back to Rubbery Lumps! You should all know by now the Great Sleeper is the only one who truly knows the truth!
