I'm at the University and I want to complete the "A note from the Consumptive Cryptozoologist" quest, but I do not know how to find an Iron Hat or Neathglass goggles. Any help?

They're pretty expensive, so I doubt you can get them from random-reward storylets (usually the only source of equipment outside of the Bazaar). So yes, you'll have to dip into your hard-earned funds.
