Is it possible to get stuck at the Party?

One would need to fail the initial test to attend(non-K&C) then get Time Remaining... down to zero without gaining any Talk of the Town.
Been plotting out the different courses mostly with an eye to connection gain, when this occurred to me. Might be some escape hatch branch that opens up, but not seeing anything from looking at the wiki.

I believe that you can always use the 'Make Your Apologies' storylet to leave the party, regardless of anything else.
