Is it possible to achieve a rare success when breeding a beast? If not then the table might be in need of some revision. I plan on continually breeding each beast with each option one by one and can confirm at least that the Casting Out Devils option on the Somnolent Hyena gives out 8 Extraordinary Implications on a lucky roll and 6 on an unlucky one. I have not so far obtained any Primordial Shrieks for that option. This seems to be more in line with the rest of chart with the only difference between lucky and unlucky rolls being the amount of an item, not the type.
Can anyone reaffirm that this option gives Primordial Shrieks, albeit rarely?

My impression based on the breedings I've been doing (nobody call the Neath SPCA on the number of hyenas disappearing into the Wings-of-Thunder bat barn) is that FL has targeted making this a decently profitable grind and calculated looping values such that successes mete out in the 1.6-1.8 echoes/action range and failures come out at about 1 echo/action, not counting various minor costs along the way (clues to get back to the fourth coil, etc.). I'll need to look more closely at the results after I start going after plated seals (which is a great bonus for all the zee voyages I'm constantly taking) to see how this holds up when the loop isn't so tight, but so far, this is truly excellent grind-fodder.

Catching Plated Seals has changed, you now have to get to Troubled Waters 11 before getting to Journey's End 9 as the Seal catching option is on the pinned Steam Boldly storylet.

I'm afraid I can't edit the Google doc, but here's some more data:

Somnolent Hyena, Devils and Taming, UNLUCKY result yields 210 Surface-Silk Scraps instead of the 310 received for a fortunate result.

Breeding the Somnolent Hyena, 'pulling out all the stops', yields a number of Visions of the Surface. (It may have been 80? Apologies, I think the irrigo is still lingering because I can't remember exactly.)

If I buy the fate-locked part of theological husbandry, will I still get the bronze card that give me laudanum and tinctures?

I believe I got 312 Surface-Silk Scraps from Devils + Taming on the Somnolent Hyena. So it seems there's a small variance.

Just to slowly fill up the doc, the unlucky result for the Tomb Lion with Treats and Devils is 100 Infernal contracts.

Being the fan of the Zee that I am, I'm working on plated seal results. I don't think I have google doc access, but as I build them up I can give them to someone.

A notable result that I just got: the Plated Seal with Devils and Fungus yields 4 x Puzzle-Damask, a fairly hard to achieve item.

I am about 85% on the way to collecting all rewards as well as text from all Plated Seal combinations (both successes and failures). There's some juicy tidbits here which have all been echoed to my journal, but are not well organized there. If someone has collected text from one of the other breeding "parents," I'm open to a swap of some sort.

Just for reference, I tried Devils + Fungus and didn't get Puzzle Damask. I then tried Devils + Taming and that DID give Puzzle Damask, just in case anyone is looking to use Husbandry to get some.

As mentioned above, I've been collecting the rewards and lore associated with all combinations surrounding the Plated Seal. After a lot of work (getting the results and lore for rare failures was actually one of the harder parts), I have the complete collection. Seems a shame to just sit on it -- please PM me (in game or here) if you would like some information from it. Posting it in the wiki would violate both the terms and the spirit of the wiki, so I won't, but here's a few fun snippets from the Bishop....
The Bishop turns to you and says, 'Those letters - a gift for a woman one hates? Strange thing to write on a serpent if you ask me. Although the Dilmun Club did ask very nicely to be told if anything like that showed up. Hmm.'

'Look, I told you before, no serpents! I'm not hunting devils with anything that crawls on its belly! And that includes the Bishop of St Fiacre's!'

'The foul villains would laugh at me! And laughing at Bishops is wicked beyond sin!'

'Still, it took more than a day to build Rome, and it'll take more than a day to build the First Ezekiel Nephropidian Artillery.'

'I was there, you know. At the last charge. I was in the Guards back then. A goat-demon pulled my horse from under me and ate it before my eyes. That's why this needs to work. Why I won't ever stop.'

I assure you I've left many of the best bits unshared.
A more general question--I spent the FATE to unlock Theological Husbandry some months back, and no cards have shown (that I've seen) to open this further. Is this done a different way, these days?

Once you've paid fate for the elixir, prepare a beast as normal, but you'll find you have an extra option when it comes to breeding it. If you pull out all the stops, you'll find yourself with new pets, who in turn generate some new cards (not all of them have a card). You are in particular interested in the card from the obdurate stallion.
