So, it would appear that catching a plated seal will reduce your Approaching Journey's End if it is above 8 after the new change.

so... do anyone know of a fast way to increase nightmares for a POSI with WATCHFUL at > 130? besides social actions anyway.

Wandering the forgotten quarter will raise them at a decent speed, and get you some secrete and other items at the same time. Another option is to seek out difficult checks (or lower your watchful to make checks difficult) and just attempt to looking to fail

I used "Blood-red tales" at the Forgotten Quarter to raise mine to 5 before and get some expedition supplies at the cost of Appalling Secrets. I think "Seeking Curios" there is more effective in gaining Nightmares though but I don't like the chance of getting an Eyeless Skull. Well not yet anyways.

I feel silly asking this question, as I feel I might already know the answer... but just in case: If I sell the pets I gained from breeding with "The Formula of Empyrean Redolence" can a I breed more? To me it makes sense that I should be able to, as the option only seems to be locked if you already have the pet in question, but just in case... Don't want to make the mistake of selling of these useful critters for a fist full of Echos without being able to refill the ranks.

Hammond don't worry you can repeat the breeding process at much times you like, if you find yourself lacking one of the pets. So you can get the Bifurcated Owl and then reaquire the rest of them.

On the other hand, Hammond, as far as i know it is not very profitable to sell the heavenly critters. Unless you have the need to trim your deck, i would advice you to wait until you have gathered all the critters and notes in order to breed your Bifurcated Owl.

Thank you both for the reassurance. As for the Bifurcated Owl, selling (it) was my primary concern. I have had Owlowiscious for... the vaster majority of my time in London. The Ocelot and Dream-Hound have saved my dignity and life, respectively (The thing a Dream-Hound can do with wounds, and some Rostygold to boot!) hundreds of times.
I just wanted to be thoroughly sure, didn't want to lose my prizes like I lost my Horse-Head amulet...
Also, I look forward to breeding something other than the Holy Hound for a bit. At least after I obtain four more of them, I am shooting for a rhumba(?)... Seven of them, shooting for seven.

I have only acquired the Ocelot and Hound personally, but they are quite useful, especially the Ocelot, as I'm researching the Correspondence and its companionship as I study is conducive of insights.
My only question is how you manage to affix the bowtie to your Owl?

If you have a Starveling Cat, you can get it to claw you for Nightmares and Wounds.
