I'm fairly certain that "Fleeting Recollections remains unchanged, at 0" means that there's a rich effect being used which is outputting a zero- that could be the result of a random number, but it doesn't have to be a random number. Out of about eight or nine people who got TtH today, I haven't heard one incidence of Fleeting Recollections being awarded, which means that it's either a broken formula or your chances of getting a Recollection are incredibly slim. Hell, I didn't get a Fleeting Recollection either.
And, honestly, since the Tears of the Bazaar change the Nadir isn't quite so incredibly profitable for something you can only access once a week that also costs you stats. And there are probably better ways to limit access to the Nadir than making it a dice roll like that, like making Irrigo reductions a set number rather than a total reset. I'm pretty sure this is a bug! Also I'm pretty sure if Nadir access was meant to be restricted the changelog would have mentioned that, it's a pretty big change after all.

Just adding to the tally of people who didn't get Recollections. I'd file a report, but I'm pretty sure someone here must have done so already.

I'd suggest sending one as well. Just so that you aren't overlooked if they go through and try to correct an error.

I'm sorry, but due to policy clarifications, I will no longer be giving detailed mechanics advice on the forums.

If you still need help, try the IRC channel.

  • This is a bug, I have to agree - if this was random, somebody would have been awarded. To go from eliminating all irrigo to a slim chance at reduction would be a pretty major change to drop in unannounced.

Perhaps rather than use Irrigo for the check, how about check for recollections. If there is one, don't award one. That check is used all the time for Second Chances.

If your character had Irrigo when Time, the Healer struck but didn't receive Fleeting Recollections, email support@failbettergames.com, stating your character's name and the approximate time at which it happened. I'll take a look on Monday.

Fixed, although with a little more work than expected, it seems. They sent me an access code, which didn't work to change my FR quality, so it had to be set manually.

Since I don't want to open a whole new ticket to say 'thank you' to Adam Myers, I will say it here: thank you, Adam Myers!

You're welcome! Something very strange happened with Fleeting Recollections, with the result that several dozen characters have actually acquired a negative value for this quality. That shouldn't be possible, and has some very curious consequences.

I've tweaked the access code accordingly; it should now solve the problem for absolutely anyone affected, negative qualities or no. But if you used it already and it didn't work, send in another email and I'll apply the fix manually.

    Immortal. Rich. Only moderately insane.

Want a taste of immortality? Reach out to me in-game to ask for a sip of Hesperidean Cider. Please follow Ocelot's guide to asking here.

New to our dark city? Send me a message in-game and I will respond when I can with a welcome gift!

I welcome most social actions, so feel free to send them to me. Just please don't ask me to Loiter Suspiciously or to help with the Affluent Photographer. I have disavowed all knowledge of her.

    Sent.

I did email you the code yesterday, but presumably it was caught by a filter, or marked as spam, or lost in the electronic aether. Sorry about that.
