I hear you could open the way to Flute Street at Featuring in the Tales of the University 30, but I'm already at 40 and I either discarded the card accidentally or misclicked somewhere. Is there any way I could get another opportunity to open the way, or has that ship sailed irrevocably?

The difference between 30 and 40 is just how you chose to end the storyline. You haven't missed it. Check your lodgings for the Local Gossip, and he'll lead you to Loquacious Vicar. You can open up the story leading into Flute Street there.

Edit: Yeah, the only options the Loquacious Vicar is giving me are A tale of terror!! and Could you have a long-lost daughter?. I'm pretty sure neither leads to Flute street.

Huh. Could you check your qualities? Under Intrigue should be Solving Cases around London. That leads to Flute Street. If you don't have that then...I'm not sure what the deal is. Send in a bug report?

If you didn't pay the Fate/Nex to open the route to Flute Street the card will turn up again.

I do have Solving Cases around London at 1, and I'm sure I didn't spend any Nex for the storyline. I guess there's nothing to do but wait for the card to turn up again. I was worried it might turn up only once, but in hindsight it wouldn't be a sound business decision to limit your players' chances to give you money.

Solving Cases at 1, then you have some more things to do before you get to Flute Street- I would suggest a visit to Spite and see if you can find the glim sculptor.
