I'm actually most interested by that last snippet @MaskedGentleman echoed--is it true that, aside from the specific tattoo, there is no permanent quality or item given by your choice? Interesting...I haven't decided exactly what my character wants from her, so the decision is exquisitely painful.

The tattoos give you a point of Bizarre or Dreaded. You can also get a point of Respectable if you refrain from getting a tattoo.

Following Lilac doesn't deny you access to the tattoo content. Only one option does that, and it'll be obvious what it is when you find it. You'll need to wait for Lilac's card to pop up, though; the other option would have summoned it immediately.

Well, I loved the narrative content, both on the side of sheer writing and of lore. Also Lilac is a fascinating character, too bad I'm no Legendary Charisma to be able to court her. But I tried to meet her tastes anyway just because my character's flirty XD
Now I'm deciding the tattoo. I have a question about that - does the tattoo increase the base value of the quality (the red number before the sign +) or the bonus (the white number after the +)? (I'm still deciding whether to go for Bizarre or Dreaded: my first choice would have been the Knife-and-Candle or the Correspondence, but the Invisible City is captivating as well).

Still waiting to see Lilac again. Given that I've only seen her 3 times this entire feast, I'm wondering if I should have used the snippet to summon her instead of following her. Really worried she won't show up before the event ends.

Query: I hoped to inform Clathermont of the Lilac Lady's location, then see her but she's gone. Is there ANY way to see her for the tattoo, even if I have to wait until next year?
EDIT: I sussed it. Got Clathermont's Gratitude and get to go see her. Did cost me greatly though (worth it).

Not if you betrayed her trust to tell Clathermont, no. She kind of warned you about that. You'll have to make it up to her. Unfortunately, you don't get to have your cake and eat it too.
