I'd finally had a turn of luck and was sitting at the nonFate Masquing ca for several days, but no "Encounter" card appeared. At least I'll theoretically have plenty of making waves when the switchover occurs...

REALLY hoping I pull the card to trade in my Masquing soon, because - being someone of no importance - Making Waves isn't useful to me at all.

I haven't drawn that card (An Encounter at the Feast) since the Feast of the Rose ended on March 1st. So I'd be surprised to find out that it's still available. Maybe you could find a mentor and trade your Making Waves for a level in one of your main abilities?

Oh. Is its frequency still Abundant then? Because I've been drawing cards all weekend. Or has the RNG finally realised that I'm drawing too many cards and need to be stopped? 
I noticed how my Mr Sacks cards vanished from my hand in January, but that was when they were turned into storylets.

Oddly enough, I just drew Lilac. I guess the cards may not be turned off yet after all.
That said, I think it's been five or six days since I had an Encounter card, despite drawing a lot of cards per day in vain hope for its appearance.

Its frequency is still Abundant. Hopefully everybody (or at least most everybody) who still needs it can get it before the card leaves.

Note that the small print on Lilac's card notes that Masquing won't become Making Waves until the end of March. So, you've got four weeks to convert any remaining gifts and buy Pets, folks - don't worry too much!

I had, of course, already gone ahead and sold off my remaining Gifts of Scorn before drawing the surprise Lilac and seeing that.
EDIT- Using the infallible magic of complaining about it, I have summoned the Encounter card. So it is still in the deck, but the RNG laughs at its alleged Abundant Frequency.
