A steam-powered, ironclad dreadnought of an argument, bound up in a bow reading "Ultima Ratio Regum". As cunning as a weasel recently promoted to lead Benthic's Department of Exceptionally Cunning Studies, its manifold intermeshed moving parts give the listener an irrational urge to keep their fingers well clear until it stops. The recipient is left with the distinct impression of facing down a Maxim gun. Those not convinced by its logic are baffled by its complexity.

No matter how hard you try, you just can't get it to sit straight on your head; it remains at a perpetual rakish tilt. And when wearing it, you tend to have trouble speaking with anything less than the most æsthetic of demeanors... B---er it! There it goes again!

Stars alone know how you've managed to restrain the mangy beast, never mind acquire enough material for a coat. It amuses itself with little vengeful pecadilloes like moaning during the quiet parts of the Mass, when you're slipping past a constable, silently staking out suspects, or trying to listen for a coming enemy. Seems to move around your house while you're not looking. Then your food starts to go missing. Is it looking even fuller and more luxurious than it was yesterday? Perhaps one day it'll wake and simply wander off again in search of foolish souls.

A Mirror Of Questionable Relfectiveness
A prototype from your anarchist friends. It absorbs the light from all but a select few angles. Perfect for peaking around a corner while the constables are rushing in. It's rather fragile though, and it's hardly polite to lend a 'trick mirror'. Not to mention that they couldn't get rid of the viric tint. What ever did happen to the testers.

What I wish the "Drownie Song of the Deep" was. Nightmares and all. I've been using both the song and the everlasting candle since I've acquired them. Both having been replaced only briefly by the memento of struggle.
