Hello hello! Pardon the unconscionable delay, but Part Twelve can now be read! I do hope the image quality is up to snuff - my computer died, and I haven't yet been able to find where I stashed my Photoshop disc to install on its replacement. Oh well - I can always come back later and re-upload them if need be.

Delightful as always. I do hope the good doctor enjoys his time on the Sunless Sea.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

i love this! and the concept reminds me of arthur dent's adventures in hitch-hiker's guide to the galaxy. sometimes dull protagonists can be the funniest and most interesting!

Maybe another character in this style could be the Patriotic Pen-Pusher: a man who writes nothing but overly patriotic prose, novels etc.

Great Caesar's ghost, am I really half a year behind? I've had Taupe-Wainscot #13 half-finished for ages, but I've just been creatively bereft, worn out from full-time work and from *waves hands vaguely* life... things. People have been terribly kind, sending me prompts and such, and the doc's not even going to get back to London until the end of this update. I had a bit of a breakthrough on the cursed thing today; hopefully Ham and Stout's adventures will continue soon.

It doesn't go so far as I'd hoped to go in the story, but I figure a shorter update is better than no update at all - The Most Boring Man in Fallen London, Part Thirteen.

I just found this gem the other day, and it's been quite enjoyable to read. After the good Doctor returns to London, I might introduce myself as well. Looking forward to the next installment.

At long last, you can now read The Most Boring Man in Fallen London, Part Fourteen! In which Doctor Taupe-Wainscot enjoys the pleasures of the Fruits of the Zee Festival.

This is such a cool idea - I have some reading to catch up on, I think!

I thought I'd necro this thread to send on a little "bravo." Most fan fiction I've read has been of quality varying from horrible, through tedious, to adequate. This is quite good, IMO, and more literate than the general crop.
