Tea Biscuit - you lose pails of so-called snow but it should have raised your Taste of Lacre quality. You can find that under story or just hover over the icon on the wicket card.

Myke, you can still purchase a pail from the Urchins, if you draw their card.
On the note of getting the Noman, what would be the easiest way to increase Forceful? Mine is apparently 0.

The "A chance encounter with an old friend" card, which is quite common, can also increase Forceful, as well as hunting in Wolfstack Docks.
Sigh! I should have visited the Cave of the Nadir more frequently in the last months... I did not care much for it and now I lost my only Tears of the Bazaar at my first attempt to warm them up.

Also the last option ("Go for the throat!") in Hunting Dangerous Prey at Wolfstack Docks increases forceful by 1 CP, and is infinitely repeatable as well.

Hmm. Moving into Old Newgate Cellar reduces suspicion. Are all new lodgings are infinite menace reductors then ?

Does anyone have a reliable source of Dreadful Surmises? I've almost got enough Taste of Lacre to get the Royal Bethlehem Suite, but it looks like feeding wild boars is the only way to progress upwards at this point.

We were discuss that in another thread Mr.Underhill. There are no ways to get one right now (that we know of) that aren't fate-locked
ON the upside though, you only need one to do it any number of times *shrug* edited by Myke Harryson on 1/6/2014

How does one find Night-Whispers, is it just through expeditions at this point? I ran out of snow one point short of the 9 Taste I needed to get the Spire-Emporium (didn't know about the backing out trick until it was too late. ) so now I need to decide if it's worth trying to buy more from the Urchins at their HILARIOUS new price. edited by DallanInvictus on 1/6/2014

But buying snow from urchins will not help you as that costs one point of PtPP and you can only get more than one point of PtPP from snow from the Monocle... which only works at 5 PtPP or less. So at 8 PtPP your only option would be Snuffing Tears.

Good to know, thanks! Though if I can get a pail then I can start the boar-feeding cycle again and this time do it "properly".
I know you can find Tears from expeditions (as I already did once, and then sold it like an idiot) so I guess I'm spending the next three weeks grinding supplies and rolling the dice. Lucky I was going to do that anyway because I want an Eyeless Skull (I suppose seeking curios is a more efficient option but hey, if I can kill three birds with one stone....) edited by DallanInvictus on 1/6/2014

It's a bit more common to find Airag from Expeditions, and you can trade that for Tears on the Presumptuous Little Opportunity card. (With Connoisseur of Neathly Delights 7)

After considering the lower tier options, I've gone with the Suite at the Beth too - 5-card lodgings are otherwise likely to be out of reach for a while...
So now I have two pails of snow left, and could either use them to increase PtpT so that I can get one of the new 3-card lodgings, or simply save them for next year.
Speaking of which: were there any new uses for snow this Sacksmas that weren't available last time round? If not, I may as well use them now I suppose...

Has anyone written up the descriptions of, and any cards or other secret powers associated with, the new 3-card lodgings? I'm trying to decide which suits me...

Well after huffing some Tears and only losing one bottle I picked up the Old Newgate Cellars key as well. I was miffed that I lost the Tears but I had to huff 3 times so one loss was slightly more than an even chance.
I still have enough for some Master's Blood and if I pick up another Airag somewhere I think I might have enough to swap for a new bottle of Tears.
Of course, now that I have the Spire Emporium I don't really know what I'll need those for but it's nice to have a collection of expensive stuff I don't quite know what to do with.
Back to grinding scraps for a Location of a Prince of Hell next I think as it looks like I'll have to get the Sanctum the hard way now. I've got just over 10% of the scraps I need.
