I'd appreciate a hint as well; I found Alexis's avatar and got the hint from him, and I've used the access codes in the IRC channel's list of clues, but I'm still not getting it.

I'm in the same boat, and would like to make the same request. Thanks!

Well, I'm stumped. Trying any combination of access codes and/or interface clues I could think of didn't work. Would anyone like to send a hint my way please?

    Anybody got to 3 yet?

  • Not me, but currently searching as well. I can't find anything hidden(ish) like the 1->2 option was, and I don't think anybody else has found it either, based on the posts here.

  • I saw a 3 option when I did the 2 opton, but it was Impossible.

Myke, sent (though you can also find a very large hint, almost the entire answer, going back through this thread).

Social Actions: send them to Kade Carrion (she/her; no Tournament of Lilies, please). an_ocelot has gone NORTH and cannot benefit from social actions!

I've visited who I'm supposed to, and have some clues, and I'm going to re-re-read this thread, but if anyone wants to drop me a hint, I would be extremely appreciative.

    Cheers!

I'd also like clues, as IRC is proving impossible to connect to. Much thanks, in advance.

Picking up Ambition: Enigma when you don't have an Ambition yet apparently prevents you from choosing another one. I hope that's a bug and not intentional.

Can someone send me the code (or a big hint) for starting the ambition?

I found the cluesin game and on the IRC but am drawing a complete blank. Clearly I am terrible at croswords and things like that...

Hints, all right. The straight code, would be a little* against the ambition's creator explicit requests, as mentioned n the OP's post.

Apparently, I'm an idiot, and an idiot without access to the IRC, whatever that is. Can someone please PM me the access code, or whatever gets this Enigma party started?

No sweat! I linked you the document containing all the relevant hints surfaced in the various FL sites and used in the mIRC discussions.

To reiterate what streetfelineblue said, handing out the access code would go against the spirit of the content. Hints are ok though.

To get started, visit the tiger keeper. He'll tell you about a map, and you need to figure out what he's referring to. From there you'll need to be clever and piece together some obscure references. It helps if you're familiar with a certain 20th century South American author, although it's not strictly necessary.

I should also note that the enigma ambition so far has no in-game benefits. The storylets it gives are the lowest pence-per-action in the entire game, and you have to give up a possibly substantial portion of your wealth to even use them. It doesn't give much in the way of in-game lore, either. It does tell you about the game design process, and musings on interactive fiction in general. It is very meta. It is not necessary to play the game.

I'm pretty sure I'm almost there, but I just gotta know, there aren't any arcane item requirements, right>?

Please do not send SMEN, cat boxes, or Affluent Reporter requests. All other social actions are welcome.

As a complement to @GuyScrum's post, I got most of my answers from (i) a writer from Italy and (ii) an exegete/literary critic from elsewhere...
(and a serious nudge from @an_ocelot pointing me in the right direction)(and I didn't have access to IRC or anything)
