Septentrional?
"septentrio" Literally "seven plow ox," from septem (“seven”) + trio (“plow ox”), from the stem of terere (“to rub”), referring to the stars of Ursa Major or Ursa Minor
YET AGAIN SEVEN IS THE NUMBER.
Seven False-Stars? Seven Oxen?
I usually am not this rash but I hereby suggest we start grinding "Casing..." IRL for Heist: Steal Alexis Kennedy's Work Computer.

Morning!
Two people would be able to elect Passion as a choice were they at a Glimpse of the Future right now. It's entirely possible that neither of them were aware of it. If either of them have posted on this thread, it's not obvious from their public usernames.
On the other topic, it is possible for any player to gain Ambition: Enigma, although it won't do them much good yet. Saharan's suggestion on the other thread that it used to be a joke, but is no longer, is one possible plausible explanation.

It's rather simple; you hack Alexis' computer and use the Debug menu to give yourself the right quality level. Incidentally this is also how to get Passion, and a Heptagoat

Edits for gaddommit my phone.
Trenloco - I'm away for a week, but if you add babelfishwars she's often ready for golden duels.
Also - I'm curious - how hard is the game to read as a second-language? Is it difficult to distinguish between rare/out of use words and made up ones, and does it detract from the experience at all?
I used to play WoW on a French server, so that I could avoid the smack talk (as I didn't understand it!), but kept the game itself in English as my French is roughly: "I am death. Help. Corpse. KILL! Monster?" levels of communication. edited by babelfishwars on 1/3/2014

No-one's achieved it, but I'm delighted to report that two players are each one step away from achieving it (they probably don't know that).
Some of our fanciest words (caliginous e.g.) are Latin-derived, so some Romance language speakers may have an easier time with them.

The question is, is there any way to achieve A Person of Some Importance: A Paramount Presence, because the OP has achieved 200s across the board (congratulations, by the way!) and hasn't seen any such option.
The answer: no, as far as we know, A Paramount Presence is not yet attainable.

My current theory is the Passion destiny is related to the new continuation of the Secrets Framed in Gold storyline, as related in ShadowHand's post: http://community.failbettergames.com/topic6117-repentant-forger-and-the-weird-painting-spoilers.aspx#post53016
This might not be the only requirement, but it could very well be one. It's a recent continuation to one of many possible endings to a fate-locked storylet, and it's a continuation that only appears on a fairly recent rare card that can only be drawn in the Bazaar Side-Streets. These were all things that were available prior to Hallowmas. Also, it seems to be related to the deepest matters of the Bazaar.
Another clue was Gold, Black, and Purple - the first two colors could definitely refer to the painting story, but perhaps the Purple means it requires a Blemmigan Secretary as well?
Remember, really what the key clue is here is that ONLY TWO PEOPLE out of thousands upon thousands of players have access to the Passion destiny - that means it must require something really stupendously rare, or more likely a confluence of rarities. We seem to be getting down to the wire here, as Alexis hinted that the Lacre will be drying up and the Destinies will be closing, so I'm putting all my cards on the table. edited by Dolan on 1/5/2014

Oh right, I've been curious about that rare bazaar side streets card option, but I picked a choice long ago that's locked me out of it forever. That's a very interesting theory dolan, and quite plausible. Too bad I'll never be able to try it :V

Maybe Passion has something to do with Putting the Pieces Togther:The Taste of Lacre. It was used when the Bazaar was shining its lights during the Feast of the Rose and I think at some point it was mentioned that Lacre surges due to the Bazaar's passions.

Alexis! Who are these two that are but a step away from Passion. Speak their names that we might flood them with interviews and questions. Are they numbered among the 300? How would one know they are close. Is there an in game clue?
I want to check the destinies, but I am a feared I will lose my destins and have no means to regain it in the future (if eating your notability was still around I would change my destiny in a heartbeat to try and look for passion).

This may be relevant to the Passion discussion: A while back, I was discussing the destinies on IRC and realized something interesting. Take a look at this. The visions for A Possible Future correspond to the quality's levels 1-6...but level 2 is notably blank. It seems to skip straight from The Taste of Blackest Brine at 1 to A Darkness in the Air at level 3.
What if Passion isn't a hidden branch on an existing vision? What if you need to go to a completely separate vision entirely? (Though Alexis' hint that people can get it from A Glimpse of the Future and not The Gate of Tears might disprove this.)
Perhaps there was an additional Hallowmas visitor who was a hidden branch. Perhaps that visitor is Silas the Showman. I don't know I'm just guessing at random now. But I think it's the only lead we've got.

So wait, what was the requirement for the hidden branch? SFiG 60?

I do not see how the Blemmigan relates to the "thematic heart of the entire Fallen London mythos".
But what if a Blemmigan results from feeding Lacre to a Fluke and then cross-breeding it with correspondence-treated fungi?

Ah, that would make sense! I would like to throw in my wild speculation. Would it be possible that the "purple" part refers to Violet Amber? For all we know, Amber contains love stories at their hearts - and love is certainly an important theme in Fallen London.

Irrigo, irrigo! Well, considering I have all the Irrigo items, I should be covered every which way.

I might be able to help out with this mystery. I just got the Skin of the Bazaar card yesterday, and managed to get my Secrets Framed in Gold to 60. (I couldn't see the border color of the card, because the image was broken.)
I just paid the Fate to get a new destiny. It looks like there are no hidden options in "The Gate of Tears." Is it possible that Passion would be achievable from one of the standard options? If so, I don't want to botch which one I choose.

Same situation as Wolventide right now. I paid to open the Gate of Tears, freaked because I didn't know which one to pick, clicked "perhaps not," and now I have no clue how to get back. Did I just waste 25 fate?

Ugh.
So I did the option with the Tears of the Bazaar the other day that seemed very odd and perhaps connected with Passion. So when I read this thread, I thought - oh I might try to do the destiny again to see if I'm one of those people.
Then, I just got Alight with Passion and it seemed too fortuitous! I decided to pay the fate and use my last bucket of Lacre to see if it was me. There wasn't anything new at A Glimpse of the Future, but I couldn't go back- so I thought to explore one of the current options. But forgot that once you go down a choice, you can't go back. I ended up losing the destiny I preferred because I got stuck experimenting. Please say that there will be a way to go back in and change destinies again, after losing my favorite one to Science! edited by OScarletO on 1/4/2014

There's also "aquilo" for the North Wind, but no eagles are foolhardy enough to wander the Neath as far as I'm aware.

We seem to be getting down to the wire here, as Alexis hinted that the Lacre will be drying up and the Destinies will be closing, so I'm putting all my cards on the table. edited by Dolan on 1/5/2014
Well, I VERY recently got a Blemmigan and I didn't lock out of that storylet. I haven't been able to pull the rare card, though.

So what is your Uncovering Secrets Framed in Gold quality (found under the Intrigue category)? You apparently need 54 to use the option on the Bazaar Side-Streets card, which means going all the way. I followed the Forger's advice and so I am stuck at 53, like NiteBrite is (I hope I'm being vague enough so as not to spoil Fate-locked content).
If you already have the Blemmigan and Secrets Framed in Gold at 54, get to the Side-streets and start flippin'! I of course can't guarantee that I'm right, but I have a strong suspicion.

Update: I think it's possible the "purple" part of Black, Gold, and Purple refers simply to the rare card border color - the Skin of the Bazaar is a rare card, so maybe you just have to draw that and get to SFIG 60?

To clarify, the rare card I drew (I can give the name, but I'm worried about Alexis' spoiler hammer coming down upon me) did not have a purple border whenever I drew it a few days ago. The idea is quite plausible aside from the unfairness that not everyone finished the story the same way (i.e. Inky Petrel), and there's no way to backtrack. Also, I can't really pinpoint how the storyline relates to Passion, but who knows.
If I were to go about spending fate to test this theory, where do you all think I should start?
Also of interest: When I played it, the wikia had not recorded the storylet that required 54 USFiG, so it's definitely new, even if a few months old. edited by Shadowhand on 1/5/2014
