A Warning to Seekers - of Candles and Destinies Messages in this topic - RSS

I ran into a rather painful bug today. I've submitted a bug report, but because FBG is on vacation, I don't expect a fix for a while (if it’s indeed a bug at all, which I dearly hope so) - and thus, I'd like to warn anyone else against doing this until it's smoothed over.

As we know, St Destin’s Candle was first made available through destinies at Hallowmas. Getting St Destin's Candle through this venue also warned that changing your destiny would mean the loss of the candle. However, the candle was later made available through other means, after destinies closed.

However, it seems that changing your destiny doesn’t differentiate between how you got your candle. I personally received mine through NiteBrite’s crazy stat loss candle bonanza; my destiny was The Curator, not Torment. Nonetheless, I lost my candle anyway.

So, to other Seekers - I'd advise not changing your destinies until we hear back from Alexis on this one.

My candle has been returned to me, and I can presume the bug itself fixed. All is well, and all manner of thing shall be well.
