problems buying Nex?

Hello,
is it just me or Firefox has decided that the Braintree connection for buying nex is untrusted (because "fallenlondon.storynexus.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for blackcrownproject.com") and does not allow me to buy it?
(on the other hand, superrewards is working)

Is purchasing Nex considered a transaction with a UK merchant regardless of the processor's country, and if so, does anyone know of a no-extra-fee service through which I could use a debit card limited to usage within the U.S. to buy Nex?
(Apologies for the necro, I couldn't find any other related threads.)
