If memory serves, the rewards used to be more reasonable when it was a storylet, and they were significantly increased after becoming an opportunity card. That does seem fair, since you can't simply grind out the rewards.

It sounds like there isn't a faster method at the moment, so I'll keep this up (even though it will probably take close to a week). I realized that the mourning candles gained while doing the Affair also consume some Revolutionaries CP while being converted, so I'll probably do that as well, though it won't significantly speed things up. (And I'll need to decide whether I'm fine with minutely advancing the Liberation of Night...)

I'm completely done with the Survivor story, although it still lets me grind for tasty items like Mourning candles. If those can be converted and drop revolutionaries, perhaps I can use it as a source of income as well? However echoes won't help me get the location of the one-time prince of hell. And that master's blood will require the wines opportunity card to come quite a lot (though I hear lacre can be used in the cave of the nadir to get Tears, but not too often considering the rarity of lacre). Since I'm likely to grind for the Impossible theorem, it might be worthwhile to spend some echoes (the most I'm able to grind cryptic clues is 50 per turn at the mahogany hall, because the university locked me out of most things when I became unwelcome...even after an expedition got me back in their good graces). Which of these three rare items correspond to the lodging that needs Revolutionaries under 10?

The spire is the one that requires revolutionaries under 10 airshipmedic, and it needs master blood.

Do you know what steps I need to take in the cave of the nadir and how much lacre I need?

Found out from a diff thread about the nadir, that it takes 7 lacre and a rare card. I am so happy i bought the Semiotic Monocle for 350 echoes! Now I have 8 lacre, can go in the nadir, then return to raise my lacre (by 3 cp! with the monocle, then go back to the nadir. Masters blood may be in reach!

Be careful if you are lowering your Revolutionaries through Boxfuls of Intrigue in Spite - you need connected 20 to remove the Turncoat Quality.

20 is easy to get to in a pinch provided you have the right stuff at hand.

I know connected revolutionaries is easy to get but I'm trying to get it down below 10 for the five card lodging.

I Just thought it would be useful to let people know as when your turncoat quality reaches 4 you get locked out of Boxful of Intrigueand if you have less than 20 Revolutionary you have to use Fate or connected Masters to remove it ... or raise your revolutionaries!

Good point! I'm collecting Mourning Candles while doing Boxfuls of Intrigue (Boxes-ful of Intrigue?). Converting those to Patent Scrutinizers drops Connected by 20CP, and needs only 3 levels of Revolutionaries. So, once I get down close to 20 Revolutionaries, I think I'll do one last Turncoat-removal from them, then use Candles to drop the next 10 levels. That will take 8 conversions, or 200 candles.

Yo 5-card-lodgings holders: what do these _get_ you, besides 5 cards and bragging rights? More scraps, other opportunities?

At the moment, very little. You can spend fate if you have a sanctum to get a green-eyed devil, or quiet deviless, but that's all we know of so far.

The best approach I've come up with so far is to deliberately raise Turncoat each turn while grinding Affair of the Box, and use the Revolutionaries option to dispose of the menace. Does anyone have a quicker method?
In addition to the other methods it might be worth it to switch profession to Enforcer/Campaigner for a 325 CP drop whenever the Revolutionaries faction card comes up? Because getting back your real profession should be easy enough with such high Notability, right? Or... wrong?

    Congratulations!

By the way, you don't lose your regular Premises at the Bazaar by getting a Spire -Emporium do you?

No, you can move back in if you'd like to for some reason, and even if you don't you can still draw and play the Premises at the Bazaar card.

Yes you keep them. I've still got the key to move to the regular Premises at the Bazaar and have got the card since I upgraded.
