Greetings all. Returning to Fallen London after a lengthy absence -- the last Echo to my main's FL journal was back in 2013(!). Long enough that the game has changed quite a bit, and I've forgotten so much that it's like starting over. So I have started over with an alt to experience all the new/revised content. And with much fear and trembling, put my old main onto the Seeking Road.
I've always played the game in "single-player", so I'm now experimenting with the social side. See you around!

If perchance you've overheard any rumors regarding myself and sedition well...one cannot bring liberation with breaking a few shackles.

Greetings and salutations to all my fine new friends,
I have been absent for about a year, but the ache returned and soon so did I. It seemed appropriate that I take to the guise of a befuddled but enthusiastic foreigner, since my main tactic in Fallen London appears to be wandering about and bumping into stories and opportunities without any real rhyme or reason. I've made a forum account initially to find people to interact with in-game, but also to involve myself in any roleplaying that may happen about the place. I've been playing Fallen London for two and a half years now, but only became active in the community about a year ago. The character I write is Dr. Mel Lawrence, The Gentleman Scientist- an excitable and slightly insane scholar obsessed with a self-destructive quest to defy the very laws of nature. Feel free to send her a calling card if you want to meet her and hear her reminisce about the Surface. Perhaps she'll even show you her research, though it isn't exactly for the faint of heart.
I also make art, mostly of people's characters, and design my own games every once in a while.

Hello! I'm Faye, and I just began playing a few days ago, really. The character I write is Auden Nocturne (probably evident from the username), a poet, dandy and gossip-listener of indeterminate gender whose skills in the Neath seem to be keenly designed for passing along information. We'll see what happens next, but I'm happy for them to gain more contacts, and to meet all of you OOC!
OOG I enjoy writing, gaming, and have a slight addiction to journal-based RPGs, when I'm not working (or supposed to be working). Would be happy to RP with anyone here, as well!

It has been precisely four years since I last set foot in London. One thousand, four hundred, sixty-one days of darkness and loneliness, adrift in the Endless Sea. I have moved up in the world, as I started a mere stoker and come home as Captain. And Engineer. And, well, anything I want, I guess, since I'm the only one left. Well, except for Mr. Nibbles, of course, but I'm sure he won't mind. Now finally, I go to see who now lives in my house, who has married my wife, who has taken my children, and if the Gorgeous Muskrat still serves those blood pies that I love. And then, of course, I must do what I have dreamed of doing- I must write, using my notes made on...well, let's not worry about that, shall we?
(I'm Sir Hufflepuff Bradleymuffins, and it really has been four years. I'm also Matthew, currently in central Ohio, and I am hoping for friends. Or acquaintances. Or enemies. I'll take anything, really, or else I shall have nothing. And that wouldn't do at all).

Greetings, dear neathlings. My name is Mr Coltrane. I'm a daring explorer and subtle scientist from The Surface. Few months ago I descended to The Neath to find out more about strange dynamics of social life, emerging from peculiar environmental conditions, so uncommon for the world above. It was all about acquiring rational gaze at first. But then, I must confess, the magic of the place... it started to sneak into my thoughts, into my dreams. It began to fascinate me as no other piece of land, exposed bare to the sunlight. How could I knew?
My journey has its goals, though. One day I'll be obliged to move on. But I know in advance, I'll recall fondly many faces I've met here, and regard what I experienced as an utter pleasure.
