SO YOU'D BETTER DO ALL YOUR BIG GAME HUNTING WITH A CAMERA, PAL. BE SURE TO GET MY GOOD SIDE...BELOW THE WAIST!

Hieronymus Drake: Gentleman scholar, big-game hunter, scar-faced aristocrat. Remarkably sane, all things considered.
Tanith Wyrmwood: Longshanks cat-burglar; Bohemian author; now, perhaps, something more. Bubbly, expressive, and affectionate. It’s not only still waters that run deep.
Telemachia Lee: Gentle lady by birth, brawling Docker by choice. Good company in the drunk tank.

Distinguished gentlemen, fair ladies, and beings hiding in the fog - a good evening to you all.

My name is Bertrand Lyndon, a former Sergeant in the British Army. I moved to the Neath around Christmas (or should I say Sackmas?) and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I must say I found that London is more welcoming than I dared to hope.

I welcome most social interactions (the exception being cat boxes, SMEN content and - most of the time - loitering) either roleplayed (in that case, I reply in kind) or not.

P.S.: I try my best, but English isn't my first language, so I make mistakes from time to time. Please be patient with me.

Jordan Farchild, a kid who often meddles in things bigger than herself, and Bertrand's ward.

(I check this profile less often than Bertrand and I use it only for very light roleplay)

Bloody hell this town is harder to navigate than the Bearing Sea. Glad I managed to stumble upon you. A drink, quickly! What do you mean what color? Anyway...

Alexander von Conrad is the name. Nobility is the occupation. Dialogue is the passion. Love is ephemeral. Money is... an issue.

It is my first visit to your viciously exciting city, and I must admit monologue gets rather monotonous. Do write a letter if you are eager to teach an old dog new tricks, or simply if you wish to converse. I spend most of my time at the Singing Mandrake, ask around, someone will give you my address.

Now if you'll excuse me, I feel an irresistible urge to explain my financial situation to that beautiful horned lady over there. Good day!

Good evening, ladies, gentlemen, and others.

Two new Londoners, at your service: Jean 'Jehan' Prouvaire, a young revolutionary and Romantic (based on Jean Prouvaire from Les Misérables), and Victor Frankenstein, a haunted and obsessive scientist (based on Victor Frankenstein from the 1831 edition of Frankenstein).

Prouvaire was in London when it fell, visiting a writer friend; he was eventually arrested and has only just escaped New Newgate.
Frankenstein has no memory of xir life on the surface, but xir nightmares, and the pages of notes xe found hidden in xir cell, leads xem to believe it's probably for the best xe's left the surface.

Good evening to all citizens of the Neath. I'm Viquorius, but do call me Viq.

I've been exploring Fallen London for only a couple of months now and have made great progress in establishing myself already, primarily detecting – I've recently branched out into archeology – and enjoying both the high and bohemian society, a delicate balancing act.

When I first arrived and for a good while after, I fell frequently into befuddlement, and as I quickly scrambled to make the best choices, I forgot to really enjoy the mise-en-scène of life in the Neath. Oh dear. I hope to help others avoid what I went through. And then, too, I hope to avoid it myself.

Currently I seek interactions with fellows in the Neath for our mutual benefit. To that end, I'm off to The Singing Mandrake. I hope to see you there.

I've been in London for quite some time now, but I wish to expand my social circles and join you all here. Very pleased to make your acquaintance!

Josephine Gibson is a lady who wishes to experience all the Neath has to offer, and while pleasure is preferred, danger and madness please her just as well. She is quite the collector of objects and oddities and she treasures companions the most. Unfortunately, she's a bit of a hoarder, but don't tell her that! She has made quite a name for herself in her seven years in the city, fighting tooth and nail and backstabbing whoever she can to attain adulation. She is currently pursuing her first goat.

(ALT) Marion Blackburn is not a willing denizen of London. She's spent most of her first year in the city hiding in her tiny attic room. But she was forced to the streets a few months back in order to pay her mounting debts. She's trying to make an honest living in a dishonest city now. She has yet to find her purpose in this place of shadows and secrets, but I trust it won't take her long.

I've lurked the forums for years whenever I've been active in FL, and finally decided to leave the shadows. Over the years I've played in bursts. Six months to a year on, then distracted away for several months before wandering back again. But now I've set my sight on goats and plan to stick to it until Josephine is fully goated! And Marion presents me with the new challenge of staying honest, which I'm looking forward to.

Dearest future friends and enemies (were you aware that you have all been implied to be delicious?),

I am a recent arrival in the Neath and, with the possible exception of all these rats running amok, find it to be much more inspiring, interesting and enthralling than any surface world I've even inhabited.

I am hoping to meet many of you fellow Neath dwellers, and I welcome any and all social interactions... unless they're boring. I don't do well with boring. Or sitting still. Or beets. Gross. I would especially enjoy any helpful hints or missives from those much more experienced than I, or even just as experienced as I (so long as the hints do not involve beets).

May you always have a clean shirt, a clean conscience, and a guinea pig in your pocket,

I have been part of this Fallen city for some time now and am looking forward to finally diving into these forums.

I play as Ahsim, an individual whom I could describe here, but I won't. Instead let me extend an invitation to any and all social interactions (on Ahsim's behalf) and give you the opportunity to get to know him for yourselves.

Hello, I played a while back under a different account (that I had forgotten about) and now have a new character exploring and making messy mistakes and courting madness and death (not always intentionally).

My character is named after a misremembered character from the Dolls of Albion (this post is brilliant - https://steampunkopera.wordpress.com/2017/03/10/snapshots-from-the-carnival-pt-1/).

I am currently hunting beasts, trying to get a personal recommendation and hard backed labour for various nefarious and mysterious tasks.

Happy for any social requests.

Good Evening,
My name is Jane... but most everyone who knows me, knows me as Shiner. I'm always available to help a friend in need. I enjoy quiet readings and chess rivalries. If you were to peruse my bookshelf... you would find proscribed poetry, cutting edge anatomies, and that the Book of Ruth has been removed from a much-used Bible.

I am receiving calling cards for new and interesting Acquaintances.

Have a delicious day, fellow citizens. I'm Kamilla, and I'm somewhat new to Fallen London (but played Sunless Sea before that and love the lore).
My character is something like my alter-ego - ambitious, talented, open-minded, daring and subtle at the same time, but also kinda lazy and not really blessed by luck.
I hope we'll get along fine. I'm not that good at roleplay (and at English, huh), but it can be a very interesting experience.

Gooday,

Arden Terraward here; I abandoned the Neath aeons ago for the pleasures of the Surface, just to become disenchanted by them and seek solace once more in the shadowy depths of the Dreaming Caverns...
It is a delight to be back, to explore and seek all that this dark, twinkling utopia has to offer...and I shall gladly do it in the company of like minded individuals.

Greetings and Good Evening, my fellow Delicious Friends! It is nice to finally get to interact with the community of Fallen Londoners for once.I play a war veteran who I regret choosing the name I first chose for him since I didn't know much about the game at the time, and I can't really buy any fate to change my name with since I'm broke as a bottle of Greyfields.Anyway, getting more in character now.Greetings and Hello, my soon-to-be-friends.How are you all?I came to The Neath very recently.A good friend told me great things about this place.Anyway, my current goal is to enjoy my life and possibly acquire immortality. And I've also recently become obsessed with hunting this Vake thing.Don't know what that's about.Let me give you a more proper....Talk?Interaction?.....I've had enough of the surface. It's boring. My life feels empty.Worthless.Monotone.At least my job made most of things better, both in pay and in adding a sort of spice to my life. But here in The Neath, things are so much better.I love it here. It's simply amazing.Even dying isn't that bad when you think about it.The only thing I regret is the fact I won't get to see and feel the golden touch and warmth of sunlight. But that isn't that important to me.It's nice to think about sunlight, for nostalgia's sake.Nostalgia.Brings back some good memories. And lots of bad ones.Too many bad ones. But I'll hang on to them because they won't break me, and a memory with a big impact on you is one worth remembering.Except if you can't keep it in your mind without it slowly breaking you apart.Getting more out of character here, how exactly does this forum thing work?Haven't really been to any forums on this site, so I'm curious as to what everything does exactly. And I also can't wait to finally interact with other fellow players again.Only interacted in-game with a few friends who are barely immersed in the lore or community. And a stranger that randomly added me to my contacts and invited me to play chess, who I don't think is active anymore.I don't know.Anyway, it's nice to finally get to meet some of you.

Hello everyone,

I would like to introduce myself under the pseudonym of my character, Vial Laudanum. I am intending to begin writing about her adventures in the fanfiction section here smile

But really, I'm also Jess, and I only recently found Fallen London through The Allusionist podcast. Very pleased to be here! I am a bit of an amateur writer anyway, so I'm quite excited about having something lovely to write about in character!
