Hi,
As a new player, I don't really have a good idea of who my character is because it's hard to build a backstory without much knowledge of the game world. In some cases, I find I have to be a bit wishy-washy, and then there are story elements that I don't seem to have a choice about, which is kind of annoying. Still, the game seems to have erred on the side of more options versus less, so I definitely appreciate that. At this stage, it's more about exploration, trying to get a handle on how things like death, talking cats, charming devils, and ravens with beautiful voices integrate. I tend to just pick options that sound good and don't make me feel too guilty/awful.
Anyway, I definitely need help with menaces and would like second chances, even if I'm not precisely sure how they work. So far, my character seems to be shaping up to be a basically good person with a streak of ruthlessness and not above the occasional blackmail/minor theft/mutually pleasurable romance, though said romance tends not to be serious. But of course things could change as I progress.
Please send me cards if you're willing to help, and of course I'm willing to return the favors. But again, not sure of how that all works beyond the Lodgings storylet. Thanks.

A Bandaged Detective leans on a Tasseled Sword-Cane, his eyes are obscured by goggles but his body languages suggests that he's watching the entire room, searching for a contact, maybe an adversary, or perhaps even something more scandalous? He notices you looking at him and clears his throat "Good day, I am Zann. Please tell me you have a case, something interesting to take my mind off the tedious meaninglessness of this paltry existence."

Attention all sexes and things:
The rats are coming through my dumb walls. I have perforated their vanguard and used their supple corpses to plug the breaches before the stiffening and bloating of the dead flesh.
Their living compatriots have taken to a patient cannibalizing of this stoppage, and in doing so strengthen their resolve for violence in mind and body. Perhaps my plan was short-sighted.
If you send me your greeting cards, perhaps they will serve as a better blockade against future incursion.
Now I must away, lest my domicile become a den of iniquity and fartgas.
