Or, just through social invites; you do not have to send a calling card if you just want to jump straight to dinner, coffee, or chess. :-)

You don't need to send a Calling Card for coffee or chess invites, but I think your invitee needs to be an Acquaintance if you're going to invite him/her/them to dinner, and that requires for you to send a Calling Card and them to accept it.

I would greatly appreciate any calling cards. I have had my account for nearly a year now but haven't been active in the social aspects of the game. Feel free to send me any social actions as well. I'm currently working on increasing notability and increasing persuasive, in case that lines up with anyone else's interests

I would love that, but alas I can't send or receive Calling Cards (you must be a POSI's Acquaintance to be eligible to become their protege), because my Influence (i.e., Acquaintance connections) is too high. I could snub some of the Acquaintances, (and I have done so where I know the person is no longer playing Fallen London) but where I'm not certain I hate to do so.
