Also, there seems to be a way to incubate it on the Kindness of Ravens card.

I already sent a bug report of this, but I've been unable to receive Advent Calendar gifts. Didn't receive either the Pulsating Amber or the Pristine Raven Egg. Didn't get anything from yesterday's thing either, though I'm not sure if I had any Suspicion then, but, yeah. No items for me for some reason. Anyone else have this problem? It kind of sucks, especially if it continues as it has been since some neat stuff is coming out.
Edit: Aaaand for some reason when I attempted to go to a storylet in the Flit, I suddenly got the message for the Pristine Raven's Egg again, and when I went to my inventory this time I had it. Bizarre. So I need the Kindness of Ravens card to incubate this now, yes? Guess I'm buying another raven.

I don't think owning a raven is necessary, as far as I remember having the egg triggers a living story. It should hatch by itself in a few days (which is a shame, since I already have the Mystic Raven Advisor and would like to hang on to the egg as a curiosity).

But it's feeding your raven that triggers the living story to hatch the egg. The egg itself isn't going to do anything, which is why there's a new option on the Kindness of Ravens card to incubate it.

Same goes for Sparring,Loitering,Suppers and Games of chess! Sure I'll accept them occasionaly but I wont help you grind them most of the time.
