If you weren't here for Confessions, there's no way to get it at the moment - at least, none that we've unearthed. St Destin's Candle was obtained by either choosing the Name destiny with the Lorn-Flukes at Hallowmas (which came with a handy noose to stick your Seeker neck into), or by having confessed to a Seeker with the candle and having that Seeker 'betray' you by cutting their stats in half and spread the candle to you. It hurt the recipient's stats, too, but not nearly so badly.

Ah. I'm slightly regretting my Hallowmas choice anyway, so hopefully there is actually a way to change my destiny in the future as they claimed. Or a new option for St. Destin's shows up.

Welp. I got out of the Blood and Fire game. On a side note, "You are not welcome here" seems like it requires like 50-100 abominable. Who whould get that appart from spacemarine?

Same goes for Sparring,Loitering,Suppers and Games of chess! Sure I'll accept them occasionaly but I wont help you grind them most of the time.

Damn - in trying to play my character as intended, (I have a very particular way of going about SMEN), I have constantly kept my abomination at 0-1.
- So to have these extra options and cards come up, you need at least one?
- Second, there was some mutterings about stealing fire, and mind bullets, (involving murder and prison), just at then end of the old devoured thread. Any clarity there?
(I'm also on the lookout to get a Destins candle - just missed all of Hallowmas thanks to IRL work commitments. Here's hoping for a new option.
I'd greatly appreciate either a PM, or a 'spoilered' reply, with how much stat loss there is for sending Destins candle, and receiving it. Also - why pass it on? (There must be a story reason, but the aim for stage 8 of SMEN is [spoiler] to gain all 7 candles [/spoiler] so to someone not in the know it seems odd.))
- Lastly, I managed to get a bunch of Proscribed material before the prices were jacked up - so if there are other testers for the new option needing 77 enigmas, I'm happy to compare notes, and try and give it a go, (saving for my Ubergoat atm though).

Howard John Abrahall, you don't lose the candle when you pass it on, because it "doesn't exist".
It seemed to be about half your stats for sending, and about 5 levels for receiving.

Social Actions: send them to Kade Carrion (she/her; no Tournament of Lilies, please). an_ocelot has gone NORTH and cannot benefit from social actions!
Possibly-Useful Things: Spreadsheets and hints and link collections, oh my.

Im wondering... Is the gods editors branch a false lead? There's been times before when all we have gotten for pursuing information was a snippet of lore and some horrible punishment.
It mentions "Saint mathew". Not Denizel or whatever the 5th is. Im gonna hang back a bit and observe.
Also, My abominable suddenly dropped from lv 3 to lv 1. I didnt really do anything...

Re enigma acquisition;
I've been using the Foreign Office to get Implications; 7 every 15 actions. I don't know if this is more or less efficient than heists and I'm currently rather unwell so I'm not doing the maths :V
Hunters Keep probably is the best way, but being out of London is rather inconvenient.
It is worth pointing out that we could pool resources using Hithes to snowball enigmas; but there's a lot of menace attached, the card is infrequent and nobody knows how success and failure are calculated for it.

Strange I don't seem to have any reputation abomination and I don't think I have played any thing that would have dropped it after sharing St Destin's Candle, unless (sorry Spacemarine) eating rats is good for the reputation. I'm also not dangerous enough for that option so have no idea why I am on the list.
Anyway I've gone to Zee and probably won't be back for a while. I do look forward to seeing what comes of this new option, obviously if it turns out to be just a way to get St. Destin's candle I won't need to do it, but if it turns out to be an alternate non-K&C method of getting St Cerise's or a new candle it will be worth it.

The nightmarish Mercenary Contract (which is what the list is for) is separate from the enigma-based Hithe and Trithe.
Getting Mercenaried will give you a huge chunk of nightmares if you lose but will deplete your reputation quality regardless.
Hithing (but not Trithing) gives a scary amount of all 4 menaces. Hence the talk of murderjailing Alexis.

Mr Eaten is ineligible for trith/hithing and has such a scarily high watchful that even if it was available for a mercenary contract, you'd lose right away.

Anyway; to protect yourself from mercenaries, make sure you have high Watchful. Eliminating your Reputation; Abomination will prevent you from being targeted, but high Watchful gives you a much better chance of fending a mercenary off.
