Once I have the means to access them, aside from the number of cards my hand can have, does selecting a specific den of iniquity have any further gameplay effect?

Nope! You'll still get the cards for the others and you can access their options if you just have a key to them, whether or not you're housed there.

Social Actions: send them to Kade Carrion (she/her; no Tournament of Lilies, please). an_ocelot has gone NORTH and cannot benefit from social actions!
Possibly-Useful Things: Spreadsheets and hints and link collections, oh my.

But I think if youre living in better lodgings, it gives boosts to Knife-and-Candle.

Not any more, that was a system in old knife and candle, but in the new system better lodgings just give you more opportunities to attack. Which just require you to own the property; you don't need to live there.
