I've heard it ends on the 11th. Not exactly sure where I heard it, or how accurate the source, but it stuck in my mind.

Apologies to a couple people who sent me the same confession. I didn't realize that responding to the request would nullify it if my menaces had already been neutralized by a previous confession.

  • How do I get my menaces back up there?

Delicious Friends, is my memory failing me? I'm sure that not so very long ago, Prisoner's Masks, Prison shivs and Ragged Clothing all carried suspicion points - but now I've gone to try to up my suspicion and found that the mask and shiv have +1 shadowy instead, and the ragged clothing -1 persuasive.

Was it ever thus? Or has it changed recently?

They changed at the start of the event. A bit annoying as at one point, I used to get my suspicion to 5 equip the gear and go off for a short holiday in New Newgate.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.

No Calling Cards or boxed cats please. Will take dupes on the affluent photographers. Other social invitations welcome. Parabolan Kittens usually available, send me an in-game social action saying you want one and I will get one to you as soon as possible.

Ah, splendid, thank you. Well, it's slightly annoying for the reason you give, but at least my mind is not playing any more tricks on me than usual...

Apologies to anyone still waiting for a confession from me - I'm trying to work my may through the backlog. Indeed, I am having to commit new sins at a fierce rate to keep up. smile

Thanks to all who returned the favour and confessed back to me in turn.

The Pirate's Hat, if you have it, still gives +1 Suspicion, the Sporing Bonnet +1 Nightmares, and the Scarlet Stockings +1 Scandal--I've been using them to boost those particular menaces.

Hang on, if it ends on the 11th that's today! I should have enough time to help out at least one more person though...

I've just got my menaces high enough to do one more of each, if that helps anyone?

If it isn't over my suspicion is currently high enough and I can grind the others up in short order

    It's over.

In related news, which new option is most effective? I don't really mind being betrayed, but I need to know which way to return the favor is most rewarding for me. Anybody here who has already tried the options, feel free to tell us what the rewards were.

Whispering secrets to the Bazaar gives each party 2 MW and gives you some Maniac's Prayers (0-16 ish?) and occasionally Inklings of Identity (around 6?).

Burying a confession also gives each party 2 Making Waves, and seems to give at most 1 of a variety of items: Phosphorescent Scarabs, Maniac's Prayers, Certifiable Scrap, and Devilbone Dice at least.

Betraying a confession gives you 5 MW and takes 5 MW from the other person, as well as awarding you either Greyfields '82 or (iirc) Incendiary Gossip (not sure of the numbers).

Flaunting a Confession has the same Making Waves mechanics as a betrayal, but only occasionally awards Incendiary Gossip (again, not sure of the numbers).

  • I just got my menace high enough to do the secrets one.

  • Though I do want to do the other confessions as well.

Betraying also gives you 1 CP of Connected: The Masters. This has been the first chance in a while to gain that that has been in character for me.
