I don't know if this discussion had already started somewhere... anyway: just today I got the Dangerous version of the card with whom you increase that stat by 3 points, and I was just wondering what is in the subject of this message. OK, it is true that you always need to wait about a week before harvesting the benefits, but it is very easy to get the actions that trigger the event, so it is basically 3 free points in each of the main four stats per week or so... have the Masters become too generous with this new feature? what do you think?

I am unclear of what it is you're referring to. Are you talking about the "A Name Built in Blood"? And it's week delay reward action?
If that's the case, the reward is significantly higher than 3 stat change points.
It's also something that's really common in lower levels, but as my character reaches into the 40s, i'm having a much harder time finding this quality booster. So I suspect it's to help early people feel an additional sense of accomplishment and excitement, as well as to introduce them to the 4 new mysteries we have (Gates of the Garden, Icarus..etc).

Also, a think there are some people who wouldn't want the boost because of the stuff they would miss. Its a double-edged sword in that way.

I doubt most new people would know that.. Although, consider it raises your skills by approx 2 levels, There's hardly any content you will miss, considering how long storys stay available (perhaps 8 levels), and how many actions it takes to burn through those levels. Even if you went up a number of levels, you still can have time to do all the actions, albeit, not as nearly as...repetitively.
All in all I think it's quite a wonderful thing, makes getting up to speed a lot easier, and, it introduces early players to this mechanic, which is confusing at first (and still is to many people), and is a nice little reward!

Is there neccessarily a problem with this? Capping a stat, although it takes a while, is not some difficult thing to do. The real accomplishments are still as difficult as they always were.

Three, even at the earliest levels, shouldn't push you out of content you're still actively working on. In my experience, at least, it could possibly push you out of a lucrative grind spot but even that takes a while.

I greatly enjoy meeting delicious new friends and participating in deliciously exciting new adventures! Please feel free to drop a card to meet for dinner, exchange favors, give an interview, or any other activity that comes to mind. I DO particpate in exchanges requiring Fate, BUT you must contact me first; twitter, facebook, or here on the forums via PM.
Note: I am currently exchanging parcels with a large number of dear friends and my parcel opportunities are rare. I am always willing to exchange but your rate of return may be rather slow. To find others to exchange with I recommend the Starveling list.
