I entered Fallen London around february of this year and thus missed Mr. Sacks visit. What occurred last year? And will there be another visit this year?

Last years was fun. Mr Sacks stopped by and we could put things in the sack for a little tidbit of lore.

Social invitations of all kinds welcome, especially games of chess and deadly sparring!

Also happy to help with nightmares, send sips of Cider, and plant battle.

He's said as much on Twitter. Don't worry that he won't come. Worry instead about what he'll do when he gets here.

Quite so. He can be most generous to those who are generous to him.

Alas, Asclepius Unbound is now forever beyond the reach of invitations. A successful Seeker.

I'd definitely say yes:

@Mr_Sacks Ho. Ho. Ho. What a festive time of jollity and mirth. We are preparing our Sack. Most jovially. What will you be putting in it this year?

I can hardly wait ^^

I have not met this Mr. Sacks, what sort of tidbits does he find favorable?

I greatly enjoy meeting delicious new friends and participating in deliciously exciting new adventures! Please feel free to drop a card to meet for dinner, exchange favors, give an interview, or any other activity that comes to mind. I DO particpate in exchanges requiring Fate, BUT you must contact me first; twitter, facebook, or here on the forums via PM.

Note: I am currently exchanging parcels with a large number of dear friends and my parcel opportunities are rare. I am always willing to exchange but your rate of return may be rather slow. To find others to exchange with I recommend the Starveling list.

I happen to know he particularly enjoys a bottle of the '68. However, should you wish to keep your possessions, ask him to take your best regards. Giving him yourself is very sincerely not recommended.

Please note: you will only have one chance to give him something.

Having taken this option last year I can only confirm this statement. I feel I got off somewhat lightly in the whole affair, but it was a highly unpleasant experience all around. One I shall not be repeating.

A big red button labelled "do not push"?

...Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

I'd call you foolish for this, but I am Seeking the Name, after all...

We look forward to consuming you this year. Ahem. We mean, to consuming your gifts. Ho ho ho. How merry we shall be.

I asked the Master himself over Twitter, and they replied:

"We appreciate fine wines. We appreciate unwelcome houseguests. We appreciate your good self."

Now, how to come into an unwelcome houseguest in the next 4 days? I wonder how my Inconvenient Aunt is spending the holidays...

(I note that Mr. Sacks was too polite even to comment on my reference to his surface counterpart, and that person's preference for milk and cookies...)

I'm not sure that was politeness.

More likely profound offence.

What I like most about Saint Nicholas is that his bones are in a box in Italy. Where, I ask, are Mr Sacks' bones? Are they available for viewing by the devout or curious?

Perhaps you should ask him this year.

So what, roughly speaking, does leaping in Mr. Sacks' sack do? Delete your character? Destroy all your stuff? Max out all your menaces at once? Or do you become an indentured servant to the Masters and need to work off you debt? Is there a chance, perhaps, to glimpse the face behind the hood?

I'm considering having Yana jump in, myself. His stats are currently all at the content cap, and she could never resist a good mystery.
In the sack, you'll have the chance to open one of the oddly-shaped "presents" lying around. This will earn you a nice bit of information that cannot be attained anywhere else, but also considerably damage one of your qualities (last year, my Watchful dropped from 49 to 46).
After opening your "present", you'll return to your lodgings.
Thank you very much, Wieland. That settles it, then. I trust Yana shall be a most delicious gift. Drink some Empyrean Redolence beforehand, perhaps wear a ribboned hat. That would be appropriate, I think.

Seriously considering giving away that horrible aunt unless Mr. Wines starts sending over better drinks for the unlucky version of the opportunity.
