After finally drawing A Little Omen, I cashed in my Notability 12 to boost my Watchful up to 212, became Prenaturally Intent, rode my Overgoat to the University (who am I kidding, I walked next to the Goat, I'm not insane), and with my mighty total of Watchful 300 spent all of my hoarded Correspondence Plaques.

I am now Scholar of the Correspondence 21: Courier's Footprint. I'm also at Wounds 7 (my hair caught fire so many times), so if anyone would be so kind as to stop by with soup and bandages, I would be much obliged.

Immortal. Rich. Only moderately insane.

Want a taste of immortality? Reach out to me in-game to ask for a sip of Hesperidean Cider. Please follow Ocelot's guide to asking here.

New to our dark city? Send me a message in-game and I will respond when I can with a welcome gift!

I welcome most social actions, so feel free to send them to me. Just please don't ask me to Loiter Suspiciously or to help with the Affluent Photographer. I have disavowed all knowledge of her.

The wedding for my character and her fiancé will commence this week! After much grinding on both sides they at long last have over 1000 Organising -- I now know you should never underestimate the power of over 60,000 Rats and +1000 Romantic Notions and alcohol! -- but will grind a bit more for the Wedding to make sure it goes perfectly on both sides.

I noticed in some screencaps people have shown, you apparently eat up the Organising during the event? It makes sense but that makes me wonder now how that goes down between two characters. Is it halved? Is the one who carried the weight of the wedding, at the time, given the most? Is the quality flat out shared between the two? At this point I don't care! I'm deliriously happy all the wedding planning is over. St. Dunstan's here we come!

It is indeed halved, and it doesn't discriminate between who gave the most. Although with the 1000 option, you'll get to try most (if not all options) at least once, bar an option that requires 600 organizing (so you'd need get the 10k wedding to get it).

I don't know if the numbers changed or something, but I just did eight Tale of Terror to Implication conversions and three of those were rare successes that yielded two Favors each as well as Making Waves.

So, after never seeing any mood card in at least 1.5 years of very intensive card flipping play I now have both the "little omen" and the "dusty bookshop" cards in my hand!

I've been holding on to the "little omen" card for dear life for 3 weeks now, slowly building up the needed ingredients for advancing SotC to 21. I hardly know what to use the "dusty bookshop" for - speeding through expeditions might be the only useful thing.

And finally, 3 weeks of effort and planning have paid off as I am now a Scholar of the Correspondence 21 - Courier's Footprint!

The plan was:
1. Get Watchful to 150 and get SoTC to 16 (I started at about 11)
2. Get Notability to 14 and use it to increase base Watchful to 214
3. Get an Overgoat
4. Switch profession from Midnigher to Correspondent (for the +12 weapon)
5. Use Mood card

That was exhausting. And expensive. This felt more masochistic than anything I've ever done as a Seeker.

Total cost:
165 x Extraordinary Implication = 412.5 echoes
165 x Aeolian Scream = 412.5 echoes
2640 x Correspondence Plaque = 1320 echoes
1 x Overgoat = 11712.80 echoes
= 13857.80 echoes

(not to mention the need for many wound reductions and quite a bit of Nex to keep refreshing actions while the Mood lasted)

Well done! I've just his SoTC 16. I'm finally, finally starting my Overgoat grind. My character is Shadowy focused, so I'm opting for
Overgoat---->Ubergoat----> Switch to Correspondent and hope to god for a mood. It's definitely a trek, but I'm glad to see its possible.

Also, last week I hit the Boatman's Opponent 50. No special text there, still a Monochromatic Myrmidon. Still, a neat thing for a scrapbook.

So many good things this couple weeks: Got my yacht on my second try (winning with the tenho hand is a great touch), got my soul back from grinding the university, and completing the screaming map with just, what, 2 partial maps?

Pretty much cancels out the fact that I didn't manage to get any Enigmas on my week-long holiday at Hunter's Keep smile

At long last! The Bazaar and others have finally acknowledged Helen as what she is: A Person of Legendary Charisma.

It took spending over 400 Echoes, 50 Actions, a lot of coffee, and then some but she is now noted for her charm, her wit, her skills in the bedroom.

not a great achievement, but my shadowy alt has reach 100 for his/her/its shadowy and persuasive stats(after equiping items anyway).

now i wonder if i should go snub my mentor, and hope she doesn't posion me or send me a box spiders or something.

oh, and i probably should get about saving that songstress twin sister.

UPDATE:
So, your plan is to navigate an impossible labyrinth, break into a terrifying Orphanage, and rescue the Fading Music Hall Singer and her sister. Oh, and avoid being buried alive by Poor Edward. Are you sure you wouldn't prefer a a nice cup of Lethean tea?
surily, you are jesting, voice of thy underlord? it's not like the other ambitions wouldn't drive me mad or try to kill me!

I finally managed to get my hand over a bottle of M_____ B____.

But that was easy. The difficult part will be to keep it away from my Aunt's Dreadful claws.

Scones are not good with M_____ B____. No, no, no.

Thanks for the primer, though. I'm heading up this road, slowly (I have Watchful at 212, thanks to accidentally cashing in some Notability a while back) and I'm working on an Ubergoat (I've had an Overgoat for awhile). I'm also a Correspondent. Right now I have Scholar at 16 or something like that.

The more people manage to get the cider, the more it feels, well, doable for the rest of us mere mortals.
