I think OP was just trying to cut the "Why?"s off at the pass, but regardless, as they haven't logged in to the forum for three years, I think your appeal might fall upon deaf ears.

I feel that gender can still exist in a roleplay sense and just be separated from mechanics. In fact, it's already that way; as far as I know the only remnants of gender is the stuff on the profile page
