Schemes for Making Waves

So, I have an interesting question that I don't find an answer to anywhere... I have the Salon scheme, so I can't speak for the Orphanage... but I've noticed that there are some basic options for gaining Making Waves once you get a Salon up to 6, and then there are a few special options that can give you a LOT of making waves for pushing the Salon up to higher levels (I believe the highest known is gaining the attendance of the Duchess at 12).
My question is, however... since Notability is basically the useful thing for getting high levels of Making Waves, but since you blow all your Making Waves on a single level, and the higher level Salon options, beyond lots more Making Waves, don't actually GIVE you that much... is there really a point to doing anything beyond the basic options for any reason other than to find out story snippets? (I would like to note that I'm not saying that finding out story snippets can't be worth the work)

Not yet, as far as I can tell. But higher levels of Notability require more Making Waves and there will be something available at Notability 5 (currently Impossible! on the Unsigned Message card). So, given the rarity of The Tower of Eyes, it might be worth doing one day in order to have enough Making Waves.

Sorry RL means I am not a very active player at the moment. No social actions unless you are prepared to wait and definitely no sparring or other mult-action things.
