How to host/invite people to dinner, play chess?

I have gotten a few invitations from people to play chess, have dinner. So how do I return the favour and invite them to a game of chess over dinner? Where can I find the options to start these actions? Is my character able to send out such invitations at his/her present level?

All you need is a Lodgings. They're options under "Invite a friend to join you in something terribly intellectual," and "Attend to matters of society and scandal," respectively.
